The Astros need all the help they can get behind the plate now that Jason Castro is likely done for the season after knee surgery, so Cancel at least gives them another internal option. The 34-year-old backstop spent last season with the independent Long Island Ducks and hasn't appeared in the majors since 2009 as a member of the Mets. | ||||||
