G Jordan Farmar was re-signed to a contract Wednesday by the Sacramento Kings. Farmar averaged 6.5 points, 1.8 rebounds and 2.8 assists in four preseason contests with Sacramento. The 29-year-old was waived by the Kings during the final cuts on Oct. 24. The former UCLA standout, a 10-year NBA veteran, has tallied career averages of 7.7 points, 1.9 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 19.5 minutes per contest in 502 games with four different teams.

Farmar last played in Turkey and won't likely be returning the NBA anytime soon. This marks his second stint with Maccabi.

With Farmar's signing in Turkey, it's unlikely that he'll play in the NBA this season and should be off the radar in virtually every format.

Farmar will be waived Thursday, ESPN's Marc Stein reports.

The Clippers added Austin Rivers on Thursday, and he figures to slide into the role held by Farmar. Over his last five games, the UCLA product averaged 6.0 points and 2.4 assists in 15.6 minutes. He figures to draw some interest as a free agent and could get some looks from contending teams in need of veteran backcourt help.

Farmar (knee) came off the bench for the Clippers Wednesday, scoring just five points (2-4 FG, 1-2 3Pt) and picking up an assist and a steal in a blowout win.

This wasn't too far off Farmar's yearly averages. He's not an option in most leagues, given that he's averaging just 14.7 minutes per game. Wednesday, he likely saw a slight increase in playing time since the Clippers were up by so much. But on the year, the 28-year-old is averaging just 4.5 points, 1.2 rebounds and 1.9 assists.

Farmar (knee) is a game time decision for Wednesday's matchup against the Lakers, Dan Woike of the Orange County Register reports.

Farmar seems to be at risk of missing the contests, despite no earlier reports of knee soreness. If he ends up sitting out, look for Jamal Crawford to take on extra ball-handling duty.

Farmar scored 15 points (5-8 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 1-1) with one rebound, six assists and three steals during Saturday's win over the Sixers.

Farmar did most of his damage towards the end of the game, as the Clippers backups ended up playing the entire fourth quarter while they turned the game into a blowout. He's still averaging just under 14 minutes per game this season and needs an injury to J.J. Redick, Chris Paul, or Jamal Crawford in order to get the minutes to become a reliable fantasy option.

Farmar missed all five of his shots Friday in just nine minutes of play in a loss to the Nuggets.

Farmar was just a part of the problem for the Clippers' bench, who had just two points all night outside of Jamal Crawford, who dropped 20. In his 10 previous games, Farmar was averaging just 6.2 points and 1.7 assists in 15.6 minutes per game.

Farmar scored 15 points (6-12 FG, 3-7 3P) with five assists and a block in 23 minutes off the bench Monday.

The Pistons didn't offer up much in the way of defense Monday and JJ Redick battled some foul trouble, which allowed Farmar to get into a groove. Don't look for him to have too many nights like this going forward, however, unless something sidelines Chris Paul.

Farmar (back) will play Wednesday against the Pacers, the Orange County Register reports.

Farmar was initially listed as doubtful despite indicating he was "making a lot of progress" in his recovery from a back injury. It appears he is feeling well enough to return to the court Wednesday, and should receive close to his normal minutes assuming he doesn't his back doesn't cause him problems.

Farmar recently stated that he's "making a lot of progress" in his recovery from a minor back ailment, but as of Tuesday afternoon the team is anticipating to be without him Wednesday in Indiana. However, that could change following shootaround, so be sure to double-check his status Wednesday afternoon if you're considering taking a chance on the backup point guard in a daily lineup.

"It's like spraining your ankle but your back spasms around it to protect it and it just locks up and you can't really do much. Kind of mix in some anti-inflammatories to kind of calm it down and treatment, loosen everything else around it so there's no tension on the area. It'll just calm down when it's ready to."

Farmar was held out of Saturday's game against the Pelicans after straining his back Wednesday against Orlando. He dealt with a back injury during the preseason but doesn't believe his current ailment is a re-aggravation. "It's on the other side," Farmar said. "But I think I'll be OK. I don't think it'll be too long. We got on top of it right away. I got right out the game as soon as I felt it." Farmar also stated that he's "making a lot of progress," so it doesn't appear he'll miss more than a handful of contests. Consider the point guard questionable to play Wednesday against Indiana until further notice.

Farmar will not play Saturday against the Pelicans because of back spasms, the Orange County Register's Dan Woike reports.

Farmar is averaging fewer than 15 minutes per game as Chris Paul's backup, so this probably doesn't come as a significant loss to many fantasy squads. Jared Cunningham will back up Paul on Saturday, with Farmar considered day-to-day leading up to Monday's tilt with the Suns.
