Sat Oct 18 201412:48Jones waived by Bulls on Saturday
Jones was waived by the Bulls on Saturday, the Chicago Tribune's K.C. Johnson reports.
He will look to catch on in another league, most likely, and will have very limited fantasy value this season.
Fri Sep 26 201417:37Jones signed training camp deal with Bulls
Jones signed a training camp deal with the Bulls, the Chicago Tribune reports.
Jones was waived by the Magic in January after playing in 11 games for them. He avaraged a meager 1.3 points, 1.5 rebounds, 0.2 assists, and no steals in eight minutes per game. There's a low chance Jones makes the team after playing in a total of only 13 games the past two seasons, so he was most likely brought in just as an extra camp body.
Thu May 8 201410:00Solomon Jones to play in Chinese league
Solomon Jones will play with Dongguan Snowwolf of the Chinese NBL for the next two or three months.
Jones played 17 games with the Erie BayHawks of the D-League this season and averaged 8.9 points, 6.1 rebounds, and 1.4 blocks. The 29-year-old is hoping to keep in game shape in China over the next few months and hook on with an NBA team's summer league team.

Sat Jan 4 201422:09Solomon Jones waived by Magic
Magic waived F/C Solomon Jones.
He's played just 7.7 minutes per game in 11 outings this season. Considering all the injuries to the Magic's frontcourt earlier in the season, Jones is likely going to have a tough time catching on with another NBA team.

Sat Nov 16 201317:40Solo Jones (knee) available to play Saturday
Solomon Jones (knee) is available for Saturday's game vs. the Mavericks.
Two weeks ago it was reported that he would need surgery to repair a torn meniscus, but a second medical opinion has since convinced him that he can overcome the injury through rehab. It's a bit surprising to see him active this soon, though, and there are no guarantees that he'll be part of the rotation.

Thu Nov 14 201311:17Solomon Jones (knee) hopes to avoid surgery
Solomon Jones (knee) has gotten a second opinion on his torn meniscus and will try to avoid surgery.
This is a bit of a reversal for Jones after it had previously been reported that he would elect for surgery, but his knee is feeling better and it looks like he'll try to avoid going under the knife. Jones could be back sooner rather than later based on this news, but it won't make any difference for fantasy owners as Jones wasn't going to see huge minutes when healthy anyway.

Fri Nov 1 201313:07Solo Jones to have knee surgery
Solomon Jones has a torn meniscus in his left knee that will require surgery and keep him out indefinitely.
Jones wasn't going to see many minutes for the Magic this season, but it's a tough break for the big man's career.

Thu Sep 19 201314:35Magic ironing out their training camp roster
The Magic are bringing on Solomon Jones, Michael Eric, Manny Harris and Kris Joseph to their training camp roster.
They will also have second-round pick Romero Osby at camp and are still working on his contract. The Magic don't have any stars on their team, but their depth isn't an issue. While Jones, Harris and Joseph have NBA experience, none of these guys have much of a shot to be a factor.

Mon Apr 15 201313:33Knicks decide to cut bait on Solomon Jones
Knicks waive F/C Solomon Jones.
Jones started on Sunday for the Knicks and was downright awful. It's not clear if that's what led to Jones' release, but he lasted just three days with the team.

Sun Apr 14 201319:11Solomon Jones stinks in his first start
Solomon Jones was quiet in his first start of the season, failing to score with two boards and one block in 14 minutes.
This outing certainly is not going to turn any heads, but he did go against the toughest interior defense in the NBA. The road gets a little easier on Monday as the Knicks take on the Bobcats -- the weakest interior defense. He's worth a look in very deep leagues as a spot-start.

Sun Apr 14 201313:50Solomon Jones starting at center vs. Pacers
Solomon Jones will start at center for the Knicks on Sunday against the Pacers.
Before you run out and grab Jones, remember that the Knicks have started Kurt Thomas for 17 games and he averaged 10.8 minutes in those starts. While Jones does have some value, the upside of Chris Copeland with his 3-point shooting makes him a much stronger fantasy asset.

Fri Apr 12 201318:08Knicks add Solomon Jones
Knicks will sign PF/C Solomon Jones.
The Knicks are without Tyson Chandler, Amare Stoudemire, Kenyon Martin, Marcus Camby and Rasheed Wallace right now. They just need a healthy body that's taller than 6-foot-8 right now, as their current starter at center is Chris Copeland. Jones has now played for five different teams in his seven NBA seasons.

Fri Apr 12 201311:59Report: Knicks to sign vet Solomon Jones
The Knicks will sign Solomon Jones for the remainder of the season, sources told Yahoo! Sports.
It's not clear if James Singleton's reported deal is now in jeopardy or this is an indication that the team could be preparing someone else to waive, but Jones will be insurance for New York and not much more.

Wed Sep 19 201208:22Suns sign Solomon Jones for training camp
The Suns will sign Solomon Jones to a non-guaranteed contract.
He'll get an invite to training camp on a "make-good" deal. Phoenix is thin at center behind Marcin Gortat with Channing Frye and a brittle Jermaine O'Neal, so it's conceivable that Jones could stick with the club. He played with both the Clippers and Hornets last season on 10-day contracts.

Fri Mar 9 201208:13Solomon Jones drawing interest from Pacers
Solmon Jones could be a "possible big man" addition for the Pacers.
Indiana is in the market for a backup center, and Jones has played with the Pacers previously. There is nothing to suggest that anything is close to imminent, but if the team is unable to land a backup to Roy Hibbert via trade, adding Jones could be seen as a backup option.

Thu Mar 8 201213:45Solmon Jones won't be re-signed by Hornets
Updating a previous item, Solomon Jones will not be re-signed after his second 10-day contract expires.
It's a strange move considering how banged up the Hornets' front line is. Perhaps it's a sign that Gustavo Ayon's foot injury isn't serious or that one of the other three injured bigs are nearing a return.

Wed Mar 7 201206:51Solomon Jones to be signed for rest of year?
Monty Williams said that there is a "good chance" Solomon Jones is re-signed for the remainder of the season.
Jones' second 10-day contract expires on Wednesday, but he's been a serviceable reserve for a New Orleans team that is dealing with a litany of injuries in the frontcourt.

Sat Mar 3 201202:36Jones scores 11 points with decent line
Solomon Jones scored 11 points on 5-of-9 shooting with five rebounds, one steal, and one block in 24 minutes off the bench on Friday.
Jones has made minor noise in two straight games, and might have some deep league appeal down the road if the Hornets frontcourt stays banged up. Just watch him for now in 16-20 team formats.

Wed Feb 29 201223:47Solomon Jones plays 23 minutes, nets 9 pts
Solomon Jones scored nine points in 23 minutes of action on Wednesday as the Hornets lost to the Raptors.
The Hornets frontcourt is depleted right now, which led to the extra run for Jones. He's not a fantasy option.
