The Pirates released Stinson Sunday and he will pitch in South Korea in 2015, MASN Sports reports.

Stinson debuted with the Brewers in 2012 and pitched with the Orioles in parts of 2013 and 2014. However, he spent the majority of 2014 at Triple-A where he had a 5.48 ERA in 22 games, including 13 starts.

The Pirates signed Stinson to a minor league deal, which includes a spring training invitation, Roch Kubatko of MASN reports.

Stinson, who spent last season with the Orioles, made the Opening Day roster but posted a 6.23 ERA in eight relief appearances. He ended up spending most of the year at Triple-A Norfolk, where he recorded a 5.48 ERA in 22 appearances, including 13 starts. Stinson pitched 85.1 cumulative innings for Norfolk, going 5-5 with a 1.359 WHIP.

He began 2014 in the Orioles' bullpen, but entering his age-27 season, Stinson obviously thinks his chances of making it back to the big leagues will be better elsewhere, as he's not on the 40-man roster and the Orioles are deep in the rotation and the bullpen.
