Ryota Igarashi has signed a three-year deal with the Soft Bank Hawks of Japan's Central League.
Things didn't go so well for Igarashi in the states, so he'll return to his native country. The 33-year-old posted a 6.41 ERA over 83 career major league appearances.

Adam Rubin of ESPN New York reports that he heard Ryota Igarashi's time with the Mets was running short last week.
Igarashi walked two and surrendered a hit Sunday and was charged with one run allowed. "This could seal it," writes Rubin. Igarashi is in the second season of 2-year, $3 million contract.

Igarashi entered Friday's game with the bases loaded and gave up a three-run double to John Mayberry Jr. The Japanese right-hander has pitched well this season with Triple-A Buffalo, posting a 0.87 ERA and 34/9 K/BB ratio over 31 innings, but he has a 6.38 ERA over 50 major league appearances.
