Blatche hopes to return to the NBA once the Chinese Basketball Association season ends in February, Karfan.is reports.
Blatche looks out of shape in the video report, but that's kind of par for the course for the journeyman. Though he's always had the talent to be a useful fantasy option, Blatche only buckled down and focused enough to be relevant in fantasy for a very short stretch of his career. Even if he returns later in the season, it's unlikely he'd go to a team that would give him the kind of minutes that'd be required for Blatche to be useful in most fantasy leagues. In other words: move along, nothing to see here.
Mon Mar 23 201517:16Blatche has signed three-year contract with Xinjiang of CBA
Blatche has signed a three-year contract with Xinjiang of the CBA, Eurobasket.com reports.
Blatche averaged a robust 31.1 points, 14.6 rebounds, 5.1 assists, 2.8 steals, and 2.1 three-pointers in 37 minutes with Xinjiang this past season. After the squad failed to make the CBA postseason, the forward drew interest from a number of NBA organizations. However, he's opted to remain in China, which ends any hope that the 28-year-old plays professional hoops in the States for the foreseeable future.
Tue Feb 3 201510:06Blatche drawing interest from multiple NBA teams
Blatche is drawing interest from multiple NBA teams, including the Nets, ESPN New York reports.
Blatche recently became a free agent, after his team in China failed to qualify for the playoffs. He'll likely have an opportunity to sign in the NBA before the end of this season, but he may have to settle for a bit role.
Sat Sep 20 201412:18Blatche will play in China this season
Blatche will play in China this season, ESPN New York's Mike Mazzeo reports.
He was always an intriguing fantasy option when he was seeing regular minutes in the NBA, but it sounds like he'll be playing overseas for the 2014-15 season and can be ignored in fantasy leagues.

Blatche has a sore knee but will play through the discomfort in Sunday's FIBA game between the Philippines and Greece, Lia Cruz reports.
Blatche is playing for the Philippine National Team this offseason at the FIBA World Cup. He is currently a free agent, so it's surprising that he's putting his health at risk, but considering that he is willing to play through the soreness, it's likely a minor issue.
Tue Jul 8 201416:18Report: Andray Blatche to meet w/ Raptors
Free agent Andray Blatche will reportedly meet with the Raptors on Wednesday.
Toronto wouldn't be an ideal destination for Blatche's fantasy value, as they already have Jonas Valanciunas and Amir Johnson starting at C and PF. They also have newly re-signed Patrick Patterson to provide support, along with Tyler Hansbrough and Chuck Hayes, so if Blatche signs with the Raptors he'd likely max out with 20 minutes as a reserve center.

Tue Jul 1 201410:43Nets haven't reached out to Andray Blatche
Nets general manager Billy King said the Nets haven't reached out to unrestricted free agent Andray Blatche.
King told reporters that he had reached out to the Nets' own free agents, but when asked about Blatche, he replied, ""Uh ... no." Blatche had an Instagram post that said "F--- Brooklyn" on Saturday that he claimed was the result of his account being hacked, but it's unclear if that has anything to do with the lack of contact between he and the team. Regardless, it seems unlikely that Blatche will be returning to the Nets. The 27-year-old averaged 11.2 points, 5.3 boards, 1.5 assists, 1.0 steals, and 0.5 blocks last season and could end up being a decent late-round pick if he finds himself in the right situation and keeps his head on straight.

Sat Jun 28 201421:51Blatche rips Brooklyn, then claims hacking
Anrday Blatche's Instagram account produced something that said "F--- Brooklyn" on Saturday night, and, of course, he said a few minutes later he was hacked.
Blatche says he now has to get a new Instagram account since his was violated, but really, what else is he going to say? Blatche will become an unrestricted free agent after declining his player option in Brooklyn, so the timing of the mysterious post is highly suspicious. In any case, it should be fun to watch Blatche play in Brooklyn over the next few years.

Fri Jun 20 201414:55Andray Blatche officially opts out with Nets
According to sources, Andray Blatche has officially declined to pick up his $1.43 million player option with the Nets on Friday, and he is set to become an unrestricted free agent.
Blatche is reportedly looking for a long-term deal, and there have been rumors of mutual interest between Blatche and the Pelicans. The Pelicans need another body down low, and Blatche could fill that role. Blatche averaged 11.2 points, and 5.3 rebounds off the bench for the Nets during the 2013-14 season.

Fri Jun 13 201418:34Andray Blatche could be headed to New Orleans
There is reportedly mutual interest between free-agent-to-be Andray Blatche and the Pelicans.
The Pelicans badly need size down low, and Andray Blatche could fill that void. Free agency begins on July 1, and we will be updating the situation as information becomes available.

Wed Jun 11 201417:33Andray Blatche gets Filipino citizenship
Andray Blatche was granted Filipino citizenship on Wednesday and can play for the national team at the FIBA World Cup this year.
He is not of Filipino descent and was born in America. Blatche said that playing for the country "wasn't a tough decision to make" and he will also play at the Asian Games in South Korea in September. Blatche has always been an eccentric one and was even his own agent earlier in his career. He'll opt out of his contract with the Nets and become a free agent this summer.

Mon Jun 9 201409:58Andray Blatche heads to the Philippines
Andray Blatche traveled to the Philippines on Sunday and is expected to stay for a couple days.
He met with national team coach Chot Reyes and is expected to play in the FIBA World Cup in Spain. Interestingly, Blatche is not of Filipino descent, so this has been one of the stranger stories of the offseason. He will opt out of his deal and become an unrestricted free agent next season.

Mon May 26 201410:25Blatche gets citizenship in Philippines
Andray Blatche has received citizenship in the Philippines and will join their FIBA World Cup team this summer.
Filipino Senator Sonny Angara, who sponsored the bill, had some interesting thoughts on Blatche. "Blatche is possibly the best center from the NBA that we can get who is willing to shun more lucrative offers now and in the future just to be part of our national team," Angara said. Blatche will opt out of his deal with the Nets and his play for the Philippines could help his stock this summer.

Thu May 15 201413:47Andray Blatche opting out of Nets deal
Andray Blatche has decided to opt out of his deal and explore free agency.
Blatche added that he would like to return to the Nets, but would like to explore his options in free agency first. The Nets are a bit hamstrung cap-wise, so it may be a challenge to fit Blatche under their salary cap if he receives an attractive offer from another team. The 27-year-old averaged 11.2 points, 5.3 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 1.0 steals, and 0.5 blocks during the 2013-14 regular season and has some deeper league fantasy potential if he can find a team who will give him more minutes than the 22.2 he averaged with the Nets this season.

Sat May 10 201423:01Andray Blatche double-doubles off Nets bench
Andray Blatche came off the bench for 15 points and 10 rebounds on 5-of-10 shooting in 20 minutes of Saturday's Game 3 win over the Heat.
Blatche became the first Nets player to double-double off the bench in the playoffs since Armen Gilliam did it back in 1994. Blatche had scored a total of four points in his previous two games against Miami, so it was tough to see this one coming.

Wed Apr 16 201423:41Andray Blatche scores 20 for tanking Nets
Andray Blatche had 20 points and 12 rebounds in a rare start for the Nets on Wednesday, who appeared to be trying to lose recent games in order to draw the Raptors in Round 1 of the playoffs, instead of the Bulls.
Mission accomplished. Whatever the case, the starters were all rested and Blatche was finally allowed to have one of his better games in recent memory. Marcus Thornton also started and scored 20, while little-known guard Jorge Gutierrez started, and was the only other Net in double figures tonight with 13. The Nets haven't exactly looked great over the last few weeks, but then again, maybe they just weren't trying. The Raptors have surely taken notice at how things have gone down, and their first-round match up should be fun to watch.

Sun Apr 13 201420:33Andray Blatche plays just seven minutes Sun.
Andray Blatche played only seven minutes in Sunday's home win vs. the Magic, scoring four points with one rebound.
Jason Kidd said before the game that he may shorten his rotation for the playoffs, excluding one of the Nets' centers, and tonight's game suggests that Blatche is low man on the totem pole below Kevin Garnett (19 minutes) and Mason Plumlee (26 minutes).

Fri Apr 11 201423:27Blatche a DNP-CD after missing time w/ flu
Andray Blatche (flu) was a DNP-CD after being declared available prior to Friday's game.
Perhaps a report will trickle in that Blatche was too sick to play or simply being rested, but that's not a foregone conclusion at this point and we're taking him off the injury report. Until he can post a worthwhile line, he's droppable in all formats.

Fri Apr 11 201418:02Andray Blatche will be available for Nets
Andray Blatche will return from his illness against the Hawks on Friday.
He missed two games due to the illness and it sounds like he's all better. Mason Plumlee has been outplaying Blatche and it's kept his minutes down to just 22.9 minutes per game since the break. He's a low-end play tonight in a decent matchup.

Wed Apr 9 201418:00Andray Blatche out again, Teletovic starting
Andray Blatche (illness) will not play against the Magic on Wednesday.
He was a game-time decision about 10 minutes prior to this update and he must not be feeling well at all. This will be his second game out of the lineup and the Nets will likely use plenty of Mirza Teletovic in the starting lineup. Mason Plumlee could also help out on the bench. Blatche should be considered questionable for Friday.
