Former Rockets guard Luther Head has reportedly agreed to sign with the Spanish team CB Valladolid.

Head was reportedly pursued by a handful of teams from China, but "after consulting his close friend [Pistons guard] Will Bynum" he turned down offers worth as much as $500,000 to play in Israel for less money.

Sat Aug 11 201214:08Israeli team interested in Luther Head
Hapoel Jerusalem are reportedly interested in signing former Rockets guard Luther Head.
Head, a six-year NBA veteran, signed with a team in China during the lockout but had the deal nullified due to injury. There's no evidence that he's drawing interest in the NBA, so don't be surprised if he accepts a deal overseas, whether in Jerusalem or elsewhere.

Wed Nov 16 201112:04Luther Head signs deal with Jiangsu in China
Luther Head has signed with Jiangsu in China.
Head was waived by the Kings toward the end of March. As a fringe NBA player, he should fare much better overseas.

Sat Mar 19 201118:33Kings waive guard Luther Head
The Kings have waived guard Luther Head.
Head's role was bound to evaporate once Tyreke Evans returns anyway, and his loss shouldn't impact any fantasy rosters. Head isn't a pure PG or SG, making him a career NBA role player.

Thu Mar 17 201101:58Luther Head leaves with calf injury
Luther Head played just 17 seconds Wednesday before leaving with calf tightness.
He has no fantasy value when healthy, especially with Tyreke Evans coming back in the next 10 days.

Thu Mar 10 201102:35Head struggles in start for Beno Udrih
Luther Head started in place of Beno Udrih (flu) on Wednesday, but hit just 2-of-10 shots for eight points, seven rebounds and four assists in a tough loss to the Magic.
Head has no fantasy value, as Udrih should be back for the next one.

Tue Feb 15 201123:49Head (knee) returns to action on Tuesday
Luther Head (knee) returned to action and started for injured Tyreke Evans (foot) on Tuesday, scoring no points on 0-for-5 shooting with three rebounds and one assist before being yanked after five minutes.
If this doesn't sum up Head's fantasy value, we don't know what does. Even if he were guaranteed 48 minutes per game, he wouldn't be worth adding in standard leagues.
Tue Feb 15 201120:14Head to start for injured Tyreke Evans (foot)
Luther Head will start Tuesday's game against the Thunder in place of injured/resting Tyreke Evans (foot).
He doesn't produce even when he gets significant minutes, but if you're in a deep league looking for a spot-start he's worth a look. The better beneficiary tonight will be Beno Udrih.

Sat Feb 12 201123:18Head injures knee, won't return for Kings
Luther Head suffered a knee injury on Saturday and won't return to the game.
He doesn't have fantasy value anyway, but could if Tyreke Evans ever goes down.
Tue Jan 11 201123:24Head scores four points in spot-start
Luther Head started for injured Tyreke Evans (ankle) on Tuesday, and scored four points on 2-of-7 shooting with one rebound and three assists in 12 minutes.
No surprises here, folks. He is to be ignored even if he draws another spot start and gets guaranteed 30 minutes for that game.
Tue Dec 14 201013:12Luther Head, not Garcia, will start Tuesday
Luther Head will start at shooting guard in place of Tyreke Evans (foot) Tuesday.
Interesting. Coach Paul Westphal is going very small in the backcourt with both Beno Udrih and Head. It's a disappointing revelation for owners that grabbed Francisco Garcia. Still, we suspect Garcia will get plenty of burn off the bench and as the guy with the much better fantasy game, we'd rather own him. Head averaged just 8.1 points, 2.8 assists and 2.6 rebounds in eight starts earlier this year.

Sat Dec 4 201004:26Head scoreless, starting job in doubt
Luther Head failed to score in just 15 minutes on Friday.
Beno Udrih came off the bench for four points and one assist in 30 minutes, but could be on his way back into the starting lineup. Paul Westphal said the starting lineup wasn't working, so Udrih is a likely candidate to go back into the starting five. Pick him up if you've got room.
Sun Nov 28 201003:16Head scores three points on Saturday
Luther Head started again on Saturday and played 28 minutes, but may as well have been chatting up the cheerleaders on the side as he shot just 1-of-4 from the field to finish with three points, two rebounds, and no assists.
It's unclear if he's being started simply to justify the one-man offense being employed by Tyreke Evans and the Kings, but with just four wins on the season the pressure to change this approach should mount on Paul Westphal. Head shouldn't be anywhere near fantasy lineups.
Fri Nov 26 201001:37Head plays well for Kings in loss to Clips
Luther Head got another start over Beno Udrih on Thursday and had 15 points, seven assists, two steals and two 3-pointers on 5-of-10 shooting in 30 minutes.
Head clearly has more fantasy value than Beno right now, but the Kings are a mess. Beno should end up back in the starting lineup at some point, but who knows with Paul Westphal pulling the strings. If you want to pick Head up, be our guest, but be prepared to cut bait if he moves back to a bench role at some point. Udrih had eight points and two assists in 24 minutes tonight.
Tue Nov 23 201001:47Head still mediocre despite starting
Luther Head got another start at PG on Monday, scoring seven points on 3-of-9 shooting (including a three) with five rebounds, four assists, a steal, and a block in 25 minutes.
This line may work in deeper leagues, but this is probably his ceiling and with the Kings losing yet again it's far from certain that he'll continue to start. If you're extremely desperate give him a look, but other than that, stay away.
Sun Nov 21 201020:46Luther Head scores 11 points on 4-of-4 FGs
Kings PG Luther Head finished Sunday's game with 11 points on 4-of-4 shooting, nail all three of his 3-point attempts in 37 minutes.
Head wasn't particularly productive given the extensive playing time, adding five rebounds, one assist, four TOs, and zero steals. He'll offer a bit more versatility most nights and deserves a look as long as he's starting.
Sat Nov 20 201001:42Luther Head starts, scores 10 for Kings
Luther Head started again Friday and had 10 points, five rebounds, two assists, a 3-pointer and a block on 3-of-4 shooting.
Head's worth a look in deeper formats, but it's hard to imagine him still in the starting five a month from now. Then again, Paul Westphal has been as hard to get a read on as any coach in the league thus far. They were at least able to beat the Nets tonight, so Westphal isn't going to change things up any time soon.
