According to the South Florida Sun-Sentinel's Juan C. Rodriguez, the Marlins have recalled Emilio Bonifacio and Rick Vandenhurk from Triple-A New Orleans, selected the contract of Mike Stanton from Double-A Jacksonville, designated Mike Lamb for assignment and optioned Brett Carroll to Triple-A.
Apparently, the Marlins had plans for a bigger splash than just the promotion of one of baseball's best prospects. Obviously, Stanton is the big story, but the club apparently decided to make subtle changes to their bench and bullpen.
