Thu Jul 25 201309:51Linas Kleiza will play in Turkey next year
Linas Kleiza and Turkish team Fenerbahce Ulker agreed on a two-year contract.
He went unclaimed in the NBA and his body just hasn't been the same since microfracture surgery back in 2011. Kleiza had some highlights since the surgery, including a 30-point game in February of 2012, but his best days are behind him at 28 years old.

Linas Kleiza acknowledged in an interview with EuroHoops he'll likely end up playing in Europe next season.
Kleiza was bought out and placed on waivers by the Raptors on Tuesday and should become an officially free agent any minute now. Kleiza has struggled to stay healthy and his knees have become a real issue, even after undergoing microfracture surgery in 2011. Kleiza will likely look around the NBA for offers, but he might find more success and more money overseas.

Tue Jul 16 201319:00Raptors waive Kleiza using amnesty
Raptors waive forward Linas Kleiza and designate him as the team's amnesty player.
Kleiza's knees have been troublesome and he had microfracture surgery in 2011. He could land with another team at some point this season if he doesn't play overseas, but his days of being a fantasy option appear to be over.

Sat May 18 201313:14Linas Kleiza reportedly exercises option
Linas Kleiza reportedly exercised the $4.6 million player option in his contract, according to beat writer Josh Lewenberg.
This shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone because there's no way Kleiza's getting anything close to that much on the open market. Kleiza barely played this season due to injuries and then was shut down by the Raptors for the final month of the season despite being healthy. He's candidate for Toronto's amnesty clause.

Thu Mar 21 201308:00Raptors tell Linas Kleiza he'll ride bench
The Raptors have informed Linas Kleiza that he will not play in a game between now and the end of the season.
Some of our readers may have forgotten that Kleiza is even in the league considering he hasn't played since December 28, and although his knee is now healthy, the Raptors have no intention of playing him. It's possible Toronto decides to use its amnesty clause on Kleiza in the offseason.

Fri Jan 25 201315:22Linas Kleiza not close to a return
Linas Kleiza (knee) remains out indefinitely.
Kleiza hasn't played since Dec. 28 and isn't even dressing for games anymore. There's no room for him on the wing anyway with Alan Anderson and Terrence Ross excelling in bench roles.

Thu Jan 10 201310:12Report: Linas Kleiza likely to be amnesty cut
Linas Kleiza could be cut using the amnesty clause in the offseason, according to the Toronto Sun.
Kleiza's chronic knee woes aren't going away. The Toronto Sun calls Kleiza being amnestied "more like a given with each passing day," and it makes sense given the depth the Raptors have on the wing.

Wed Jan 9 201318:09Linas Kleiza out Wednesday night vs. Sixers
Linas Kleiza (knee) will not play Wednesday night against the Sixers.
Kleiza can't seem to shake these knee issues. Terrence Ross (ankle) is also out, meaning Alan Anderson and Landry Fields, who is starting for Mickael Pietrus against Philly, should see more time.

Fri Jan 4 201318:00Linas Kleiza remains out
Linas Kleiza (knee) will not play in Friday night's game against the Kings.
Kleiza's seemingly chronic knee woes continue to plague him. Terrence Ross is a better bet for scoring production off the bench in Toronto anyway.

Wed Jan 2 201319:45Linas Kleiza sits out Wednesday w/ sore knee
Linas Kleiza won't play for the Raptors on Wednesday due to a sore knee.
His knee has been problematic all season and this should mean more minutes for Terrence Ross, among others.

Sun Dec 16 201217:03Kleiza can't come through on Sunday
Linas Kleiza scored just two points with three rebounds and three assists in 19 minutes against the Rockets on Sunday.
Kleiza put up a 20-point, five-trey game on Friday, but not being able to string games together is nothing new for the Lithuanian. His surgically-repaired knee keeps him out of the lineup quite a bit and we'd shy away from keeping him on most fantasy rosters.

Fri Dec 14 201222:52Linas Kleiza looks great in return
Linas Kleiza returned from his right knee injury and scored 20 points with five rebounds and five 3-pointers in 30 minutes during Friday's win over the Mavericks.
Kleiza could do no wrong tonight and Dwane Casey gave him extended run at power forward. He had the ball in his hands quite a bit, but he didn't look to be at 100 percent since he was a little slow to get back in transition throughout the game. He's been in and out of the lineup for the past couple seasons, so owners in standard leagues might have a tough time cutting someone to pick up a guy that will likely be sidelined at some point in the near future.

Fri Dec 14 201212:45Linas Kleiza should play on Friday night
Linas Kleiza (knee) went through shootaround and is expected to play on Friday.
Kleiza's knee troubles make him nearly impossible to trust, and while he can get hot from the field every once in a while, owners in standard formats can do far better if searching for help off the waiver wire.

Thu Dec 13 201213:50Linas Kleiza practices on Thursday
Linas Kleiza (knee) practiced on Thursday in a limited fashion.
Kleiza's knee has been problematic for far too long for most fantasy owners to trust him, and those looking for a plug-and-play option can almost certainly do better.

Wed Dec 12 201211:46Linas Kleiza out again on Wednesday
Linas Kleiza (knee) will not play against the Nets on Wednesday.
The Raptors are in deep trouble with about half of their team out of the lineup for tonight's game. If his knees hold up, Mickael Pietrus should be a nice option tonight. Terrence Ross should also see a lot of minutes with the dearth of healthy bodies.

Mon Dec 10 201221:06Linas Kleiza (knee) will not play on Monday
Linas Kleiza (right knee) will not play against the Blazers on Monday night.
His right knee is the same knee that received microfracture surgery back in 2011. Kleiza has been in and out of the lineup all year and it would take an extremely patient deep-league owner to put up with him. Mickael Pietrus is back in the starting lineup tonight and is worth a look in some leagues.

Sun Dec 9 201219:47Linas Kleiza scores 17 points in start at SF
Linas Kleiza stepped into the starting SF spot on Sunday and scored 17 points with five 3-pointers, three rebounds, two assists, one steal and one block.
Mickael Pietrus' absence due to knee tendinitis freed up more playing time for Kleiza, and it's hard to project him having reliable value with Pietrus day-to-day.
