After a few explosive outings to start the season, Sproles has cooled off with running back DeMarco Murray's return to the Eagles' lineup. The veteran back is still a player worth a bench spot, but his rushing potential is extremely limited with Murray and fellow running back Ryan Mathews both seeing plenty of touches, and the Eagles' passing game is replete with weapons, which means Sproles is likely capped at a handful of receptions per game.

Eagles head coach Chip Kelly has made it clear that he sees Sproles' second year in Philadelphia as a chance to showcase the playmaking back's receiving abilities. Kelly has used Sproles in the slot fairly frequently in the preseason, and opposing linebackers have struggled to keep him under wraps. He'll be an intriguing potential fantasy option to keep an eye on once the regular season begins and his role becomes more concretely established in the Birds' system.
