Sat Sep 24 201110:54Ant Wright still eyeing return to NBA?
Antoine Wright believes that if he plays well in Spain he will be able to resume his career in the NBA.
He might be right, but he's never going to be a fantasy asset. In his seven-year NBA career he averaged 5.4 points on 41% shooting (30% from downtown).

Tue Aug 9 201106:52Antoine Wright signs deal with Estudiantes
Antoine Wright has signed with Asefa Estudiantes.
Wright, the no. 15 overall pick in 2005, spent last season in China after being waived by the Kings. He should continue to find success overseas after looking like nothing more than a marginal player in the NBA.

Wed Aug 3 201107:24Antoine Wright close to deal with Estudiantes
Antoine Wright is close to a deal with Estudiantes.
Wright was waived early last season and later agreed to a deal to play in China. After the season, he proceeded to rip the Kings organization while simultaneously admitting that his work ethic and attitude were rather poor. Perhaps he'll blossom in Spain, but he's nothing more than a deep reserve on most NBA teams.

Fri Jun 17 201110:25Antoine Wright admits lack of effort w/ Nets
Ex-NBA swingman Antoine Wright admitted in a recent interview that his first few seasons in the league, with the Nets, were hampered by "a lack of work ethic and poor attitude."
Wright also ripped into the Kings organization and assistant coach Mario Elie, but the bottom line is that he's doing himself no favors in his comeback attempt. Don't expect his name to appear on any fantasy rosters next year, even if he is given another chance by an NBA team.

Wed Jun 15 201114:35Antoine Wright blasts Kings, Cousins in rant
Antoine Wright was extremely blunt in his criticism of the Kings in a recent SI.com article, faulting the team for his release after just seven games last season.
Wright says that his release was the direct result of a dispute with assistant coach Mario Elie, after Elie refused to take a photograph with Wright's mom. Wright added that DeMarcus Cousins' attitude was "really, really bad" and said that Tyreke Evans "had a pretty good attitude" even though his work ethic "wasn't great." Wright also adds that the Kings didn't have scouting reports on other teams and that it was "chaos" coming on the court before games. If true, Wright's comments paint a vivid picture of a basketball operation in significant disarray.

Fri Nov 5 201021:46Antoine Wright arrested for DUI Thursday
Antoine Wright, who is completely out of the rotation for the Kings, was arrested on suspicion of DUI on Thursday night.
That's not going to do much for his playing time problem, or help him stay in the league for long, meaningful career.

Fri Nov 5 201018:33Wright, Head out Friday for personal reasons
Antoine Wright and Luther Head will not play Friday against the Grizzlies due to personal reasons.
Rookies Hassan Whiteside and Pooh Jeter will be active in their place, but neither figure to have any fantasy value.

Fri Oct 8 201020:30Wright to start at small forward Sunday
Antoine Wright is slated to start at small forward against the Warriors on Sunday.
"We want to get a good look at Antoine," said Kings head coach Paul Westphal. "I don't like to play a guy two or three minutes in a blowout and say you had a chance." Marcus Landry started the first two preseason games at small forward. Throw Donte Greene into this mix, and this becomes one of the more volatile positional battles going on around the league. As of this moment, all three should be avoided in fantasy drafts.

Fri Oct 8 201003:09Wright struggles, but may be over quad injury
Antoine Wright played just 11 minutes on Tuesday and then sat out Thursday's game for the Kings.
He's overcoming a quad injury and could end up starting for the Kings at small forward, but was 0-for-3 for zero points on Tuesday. If he ends up starting for the Kings he's worth a late look in fantasy, but they have too many questions at both forward spots for Wright to be a guaranteed success, even if he's starting on opening night.
Tue Sep 28 201020:07Antoine Wright leaves w/ strained quad
Kings swingman Antoine Wright sat out Tuesday night's practice because of a left quad strain.
We should have an update soon.

Fri Jul 23 201016:27Kings officially sign Antoine Wright
The Kings signed forward Antoine Wright on Friday.
He'll see some bench minutes for the run-and-gun Kings this season, but won't be worth owning unless he somehow wins a starting job.

Thu Jul 22 201020:42Kings sign A. Wright
Free agent swingman Antoine Wright has agreed to a one-year deal with the Sacramento Kings.
Wright will join an overcrowded group of wingmen that includes Omri Casspi, Francisco Garcia, Donte Greene, and Ime Udoka. Throw in coach Paul Westphal's chaotic rotations and there's no reason to expect fantasy production from Wright.
Sun Apr 11 201015:05Wright (ankle) out Sunday and maybe more
Antoine Wright suffered a grade-2 sprain to his left ankle in Friday's game, and will not play Sunday against the Bulls.
He's still reportedly in a lot of pain and also on crutches, so his regular season is very much in doubt. Look for more of Sonny Weems and DeMar DeRozan, although only Weems is an option if you need scoring, and Hedo Turkoglu should get as much run as he can handle.

Sat Apr 10 201011:28Antoine Wright leaves arena on crutches
Antoine Wright (ankle) left the arena on crutches after Friday's game.
The Raptors need all the firepower they can get as they fight for the East's final playoff spot, but Wright doesn't seem likely to play in Sunday's critical game vs. the Bulls.

Fri Apr 9 201021:28Wright carried off the court
Antoine Wright was carried off the court on Friday night with a sprained left ankle.
Wright somewhat surprisingly came off the bench anyway tonight and went 0-for-6, so we can drop him no matter what the prognosis is.

Thu Apr 8 201014:59Wright now day-to-day
Antoine Wright (ankle) is listed as day-to-day.
We're not sure if Wright aggravated that ankle sprain or if he's just day-to-day due to lingering soreness. With Hedo Turkoglu (nose) situation up in the air, it's getting messy in Toronto. Hopefully we'll get everything cleared up after Friday's shootaround.
