Sat Jul 19 201409:13Andrew Bynum (knee) could sit out next season
Andrew Bynum (knee) could sit out all of the 2014-15 season.
He is looking into the Regenokine Program made famous by guys like Kobe Bryant and Alex Rodriguez. Bynum was completely out of shape last season and his career obviously wouldn't last with the way it's going right now. If the rest goes well, he could wind up back with Phil Jackson for the 2015-16 season.

Mon May 26 201409:31Could the Knicks go after Andrew Bynum?
The Knicks could go after Andrew Bynum (knee) this offseason, according to ESPN NY.
The reasoning is that Phil Jackson coached Bynum while his knees actually were able to move him up and down a basketball court. The Knicks need a big man behind Tyson Chandler, but this is probably not the solution.

Wed May 7 201411:50Andrew Bynum (knee) finished for playoffs
Andrew Bynum (knee) will miss the remainder of the playoffs.
"We want to thank Andrew and our medical staff for trying to get the issues with his knee resolved," said Pacers president Larry Bird. "We wish him the best in the future." Injuries continue to decimate Bynum, who appeared in only two games for the Pacers after playing in 24 games for the Cavaliers. He may have a hard time finding guaranteed money as a free agent this summer.

Thu Apr 17 201416:48Andrew Bynum (knee) ruled out for Round 1
Andrew Bynum (knee) will not play against the Hawks in the first round of the playoffs.
This isn't a surprise and he hasn't seen game action since Mar. 15. Bynum played in just two games since the Pacers brought him on board and they've obviously swung and missed here. The team hasn't been getting much out of their center spot, so Ian Mahinmi could be an X-factor for their success in the postseason.

Mon Mar 31 201409:33Andrew Bynum (knee) remains out indefinitely
Andrew Bynum (right knee) remains out indefinitely.
Bynum played two games with the Pacers before swelling and soreness in his knee shut him down, and it's possible that he won't step on the court until the playoffs. "We do hope he's going to be back," said coach Frank Vogel. "He's a heck of a basketball player. He's not only a big man, but a talented, physical presence." Ian Mahinmi's role backing up Roy Hibbert is safe for now.

Fri Mar 21 201417:51Andrew Bynum (right knee) out indefinitely
The Pacers confirmed on Friday that Andrew Bynum (right knee) will be out indefinitely.
He has continued swelling and soreness in his knee, which comes as no surprise. Coach Frank Vogel said he knew what his team signed up for when they picked up Bynum and chances are they had their expectations very low. Ian Mahinmi will continue to serve as the backup center. There's a good chance we won't see Bynum on the court the rest of the season.

Thu Mar 20 201411:36Andrew Bynum to be out for near future
Andrew Bynum (knee) is expected to be out "a while" according to coach Frank Vogel.
Bynum experienced some swelling in his surgically-repaired right knee over the weekend and had to have his knee drained on Monday. "He played in the Detroit game, aggravated a previous condition and had some swelling in there," Vogel said. "He's going to be out for a little while." Bynum has looked good in the two games that he's played for the Pacers, but he can't stay healthy enough to be worth owning in anything but the deepest of fantasy leagues at the moment.

Tue Mar 18 201414:05Andrew Bynum's right knee drained
Andrew Bynum had his right knee drained on Monday and is concerned at how much fluid was removed.
Things are not going well with Bynum's knee right now and we're still awaiting the results of an MRI. He won't travel to New York for Wednesday's game, and it would be a surprise to see him play at any time in the next week.

Mon Mar 17 201417:29Andrew Bynum (knee) won't play on Monday
Andrew Bynum (knee) will not play against the Sixers on Monday night.
There's no word in the severity of the swelling and he should be considered questionable for Wednesday vs. the Knicks. Bynum isn't going to be 100 percent any time soon and he has basically no fantasy value.

Sat Mar 15 201422:50Andrew Bynum takes 18 shots for Pacers
Andrew Bynum played 20 minutes and hit 6-of-18 shots for 15 points, nine rebounds and a block in Saturday's win.
Wow. Bynum was firing at will tonight and while there's plenty to be excited about after two games with the Pacers, it's important to note that they're going to rest him often to keep him ready for the playoffs. Consider him day-to-day for the rest of the season and start him at your own risk, paying close attention to our news page to find out when he'll be in or out of the lineup. He took Friday off, but looked good on Saturday, despite the poor shooting.

Thu Mar 13 201413:33Andrew Bynumn declared out for Fri vs 76ers
Andrew Bynum (knee) will miss Friday's game against the 76ers.
Even though Bynum will miss Friday's game against the Sixers, the team did add that he will be active for Saturday's game against Detroit. Ian Mahinmi is listed as a game-time decision for Friday, so Bynum may have to take a backseat at the third-string center if Mahinmi is able to suit up on Saturday. The 26-year-old managed to put up eight points and 10 boards in 16 minutes of action on Tuesday, but his fantasy value is still limited to the deepest of leagues.

Wed Mar 12 201415:44Andrew Bynum sits out of practice
Andrew Bynum did not practice on Wednesday.
Coach Frank Vogel said he doesn't how if Bynum can play in back-to-back sets, which is not a surprise at all after countless conditioning issues and knee problems over the past couple seasons. He played 16 minutes on Tuesday and looked a little better than expected, but there's no way fantasy owners should take any sort of chance on Bynum.

Wed Mar 12 201409:37Andrew Bynum iffy for back-to-back games
Andrew Bynum (knees) isn't sure whether he'll play in both of Indiana's back-to-back games on Friday and Saturday.
The Pacers initial plan was to rest him for a game, but that could change if his body responds well after his 16-minute debut on Tuesday. He scored eight points with 10 rebounds in his first stint of the season, and looked surprisingly good while doing so, but fantasy owners should view him skeptically in standard leagues.

Tue Mar 11 201422:15Andrew Bynum nearly double-doubles in debut
Andrew Bynum made his Pacers debut on Tuesday and hit 3-of-4 shots for eight points and 10 rebounds in 16 minutes on Tuesday.
Yes, he looked good against the Celtics and had a spring in his step, which he acknowledged in a post-game interview, but he's far from a lock to stay healthy for very long. We'll have to see how his knees feel in the morning and his return to Philadelphia on Friday should be interesting, to say the least. We're still not sold on Bynum being worth owning over the rest of the season, but if his knees can stay healthy, anything is possible. If you're desperate at center and have someone to cut, feel free to take a flier on him.

Tue Mar 11 201417:40Andrew Bynum expected to play 15 minutes
Andrew Bynum (knee) is expected to play roughly 15 minutes in his season debut on Tuesday, according to coach Frank Vogel
This is consistent with expectations since Bynum will be assuming Ian Mahinmi's 15-minute role off the bench while Mahinmi recovers from a rib injury. Vogel wants Bynum to "just to fit in and play his game" as the Pacers look to snap their four-game losing skid, and there's no reason to approach him in standard fantasy leagues.

Tue Mar 11 201411:38Andrew Bynum will play vs Celtics Tuesday
Andrew Bynum (knee) will make his Pacers' debut against the Celtics Tuesday.
With Ian Mahinmi nursing a bruised rib, Bynum will take his spot in the rotation, according to coach Frank Vogel. "Once he's out there and he's playing he's a heck of a basketball player," Vogel said. Mahinmi is only averaging 15.6 minutes per game over the Pacers' last five contests, so while Bynum is worth a flier in deeper leagues, fantasy owners shouldn't be tripping over themselves to grab the big man off waivers.

Mon Mar 10 201400:05Andrew Bynum (knee) could debut Friday
Andrew Bynum said that returning to action vs. the 76ers on Friday is "definitely a possibility."
Bynum said that he's "probably at 80 percent but good enough to go," and his status might be determined after he meets with coach Frank Vogel on Monday. There's no reason to pick him up in any leagues given his questionable health and the prospect of limited playing time and precautionary DNPs.

Thu Feb 27 201411:27Andrew Bynum back to working out with Pacers
Andrew Bynum (knee) was seen taking part in post-practice drills on Thursday.
Bynum sat out Wednesday's practice with knee soreness, but felt good enough on Thursday to take part in simulated 3-on-3 work after practice. Bynum is still working through knee and fitness issues and doesn't seem to be any closer to returning to game action, so fantasy owners can go on ignoring the talented big man for the 2013-14 season.

Wed Feb 26 201414:43Andrew Bynum still dealing with soreness
Andrew Bynum has been dealing with soreness while trying to get into shape.
He's been practicing the past few days and there is still no target date for his debut with the Pacers. Bynum may be the least physically fit player in the league and he may secretly wish the NBA played halfcourt games instead of going full court. He can be ignored in all fantasy leagues.

Thu Feb 13 201416:55Andrew Bynum (knees) remains out indefinitely
Andrew Bynum will remain in Indianapolis to receive treatment on his knees during the All-Star break.
Bynum is encouraged by the Pacers medical staff's approach to his rehab, but he's not expected to return until at least a week following the break. "[Team doctors] feel like they can, not fix, but sort of alleviate some of his issues while there's no inflammation," said coach Frank Vogel. The entire goal is to have Bynum ready for the playoffs, and he's very unlikely to have fantasy value in a limited role behind Roy Hibbert this season.
