Tucker made five appearances with the Rangers in 2011, but spent the majority of the year with Triple-A Round Rock, posting a 5.40 ERA and 64/31 K/BB ratio over 68 1/3 innings. The 25-year-old right-hander is unlikely to secure a roster spot during spring training.

Evan Grant of the Dallas Morning News reports that the Rangers are calling up right-hander Ryan Tucker from Triple-A Round Rock.
Tucker, 24, hasn't appeared in the big leagues since 2004 as a member of the Marlins. He has a 4.09 ERA and 10/3 K/BB ratio over his first 11 innings with the Express this season. It's not clear what the corresponding roster move will be, but it's worth noting that Darren O'Day has been dealing with some hip soreness recently.

The Rangers snagged Tucker off waivers in October. He posted an ugly 6.15 ERA and 1.72 WHIP in 33 2/3 innings for the Marlins' Triple-A team in 2010 and probably won't see the majors for a few years.

Tucker, 23, registered a lousy 6.15 ERA, 1.72 WHIP and 19/17 K/BB ratio in 33 2/3 innings this season at the Triple-A level. He was selected in the first round of the 2005 draft, but simply hasn't put it together.
