Marlins purchased the contract of RHP Scott Strickland from Triple-A New Orleans. | ||||||
He'll take the place of the injured Clay Hensley on the 25-man roster. Strickland, 34, was 3-0 with a 1.72 ERA and eight saves in 14 relief appearances for the Zephyrs this season. Signed to a minor league contract last December, Strickland hasn't pitched in the major leagues since the 2005 season with the Astros. | ||||||
