Leroux was traded to the Phillies on Monday in exchange for cash considerations.
Leroux is probably thankful to be leaving the thin air of Colorado after posting an 8.15 ERA and 1.92 WHIP in seven games with Triple-A Colorado Springs. He has appeared in at least one big league game every year since 2009, but his stats will need to improve greatly if he hopes to reach the bigs this year.
Mon Jan 26 201511:56Leroux signed minor league deal with Brewers on Monday
Leroux signed a minor league deal with the Brewers on Monday, Fox Sports' Jon Morosi reports.
Leroux started 11 games at Triple-A last season and made two relief appearances for the Yankees, but his numbers in both instances were not much to write home about. He will serve as another arm for the Brewers' Triple-A affiliate, but it is unlikely he makes much of an impact at the big league level in 2015.
Tue Aug 19 201414:34Leroux accepted outright assignment to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-...
Leroux accepted his outright assignment to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Tuesday, Chris Cotillo of MLB Daily Dish reports.
Leroux has now gained and lost a 40-man roster spot on three occasions this season, but his two outings with the Yankees haven't gone swimmingly (five runs on seven hits and two walks to go with three strikeouts in two innings). The 30-year-old righty will continue to provide organizational bullpen depth.

Leroux was designated for assignment Wednesday, MLB.com reports.
The Yankees will drop Leroux from the 40-man roster in order to create move for Wednesday starter Michael Pineda, who was activated from the 60-day DL in a corresponding move. Look for the 30-year-old Leroux to pass through waivers unclaimed after he yielded five runs on seven hits over his two innings of bullpen duty with the Yankees.
Mon Aug 11 201415:14The Yankees selected Leroux's contract Monday
The Yankees selected Leroux's contract Monday, Mark Feinsand of the New York Daily News reports.
Since he was designated for assignment on July 25, Leroux has started three games at Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, surrendering six runs on 13 hits and five walks while striking out 12 in 17 innings. With Wednesday's starter, Michael Pineda (back), not entirely stretched out at the moment, Leroux will likely act as the bridge from starter to David Robertson in the coming days.

Sun Aug 19 201222:49Pirates considering Leroux for spot start
The Pirates are expected to recall Chris Leroux for Monday's start against the Padres.
The Pirates' bullpen is taxed after an extra-innings win over the Cardinals, and Kevin Correia won't be available. Sun Aug 5 201211:05Chris Leroux could be called up
Pirates manager Clint Hurdle said Chris Leroux could be called up to serve as a long man in the bullpen.
The Pirates lost some bullpen versatility when they shipped Brad Lincoln to Toronto, and they hope Leroux might be able to fill that role. Leroux was outrighted off the 40-man roster last month, but the Pirates can add him back without making any additional moves, as the roster is currently at 39. He's pitched well for Triple-A Indianapolis this season, posting a 2.78 ERA and 28/9 K/BB ratio over 35 2/3 innings.
