Jones had thrown up a 4.17 ERA and a 1.52 WHIP in 45 1/3 innings this season at Triple-A New Orleans. He's only 26, so other teams may come calling, but it doesn't look like he will ever be a high-impact major leaguer. The Fish got him this winter from the Red Sox for outfielder Jeremy Hermida. |

Jones had a very solid spring training but was beat out by lefties Renyel Pinto and Dan Meyer for a spot in the Marlins' bullpen. He will be up as long as Clay Hensley (death in the family) is away from the team. |
