Tue Oct 13 201514:35Reyes will elect to become free agent
Reyes will elect to become a free agent.
Reyes threw just one pitch this season and picked up a win in the process before new general manager Billy Eppler opted to designate Reyes for assignment last week. The 30-year-old could catch on as organizational depth in the bullpen, but his fantasy value will likely be mitigated until he finds himself in more situations on the mound.
Fri Oct 9 201519:59Reyes designated for assignment by Angels on Friday
Reyes was designated for assignment by the Angels on Friday.
In the first moves of the Billy Eppler era, the Angels claimed outfielder Todd Cunningham off waivers from Atlanta and bumped Reyes from the 40-man roster. Reyes was a late-September callup to the big club, returning to the majors for the first time since 2011, despite posting a 4.76 ERA and 1.56 WHIP in 15 appearances (11 starts) with Triple-A Salt Lake.
Wed Sep 30 201516:18Reyes called up by Angels on Wednesday
Reyes was called up by the Angels on Wednesday.
The 30-year-old lefty will return to the majors for the first time since 2011, providing the Angels with some added bullpen depth for the final five games of the regular season. Grant Green was designated for assignment in a corresponding move. Reyes will also be available for the postseason roster, but it's hard to imagine he will have a spot, especially considering his .362 BAA and 1.89 WHIP allowed to left-handed hitters at Triple-A Salt Lake.
Sun Jun 14 201515:01Reyes will sign minor-league contract with Angels
Reyes will sign a minor-league contract with the Angels, MLB Trade Rumors reports. He'll report to Triple-A Salt Lake.
The 30-year-old, who last appeared in the majors in 2011, had been spending this season in the Mexican League. Even in his younger years, Reyes was never much of an asset at the big-league level, accruing a 12-26 record, 6.04 ERA, and 1.64 WHIP over 335 innings. He'd simply serve as organizational pitching depth for the Angels.

Wed Aug 31 201121:46Jo-Jo Reyes lit up by Blue Jays
Jo-Jo Reyes got lit up by his former club on Wednesday, surrendering seven runs on eight hits and two home runs in 2 2/3 innings of a 13-0 Orioles loss to the Blue Jays.
Reyes allowed six of his runs in the third, where Kelly Johnson and Jose Molina both took him deep. The start was by far his shortest in five outings as an Oriole, though tonight was the eighth time of 2011 he's allowed at least five runs. He'll take a 5.63 ERA and 1.62 WHIP into his Monday start against the Yankees in New York. That one could get ugly.

He struck out four and walked two. Reyes' only real mistake of the afternoon came in the third, where he served up a solo home run to Ramon Santiago. He'll take a 5.30 ERA and 1.56 WHIP into his Saturday start in Anaheim.

Tue Aug 9 201122:00Reyes goes just 4 innings and gives up 4 runs
Jo-Jo Reyes lasted just four innings and gave up four runs Tuesday in a loss to the White Sox.
He allowed five hits and two walks and didn't strike out a batter. The O's were inclined to use Reyes as a reliever initially, but with injuries to Jake Arrieta and Zach Britton, their hand was forced. Unfortunately his first start in Baltimore wasn't any better than the performances that got him axed in Toronto. Reyes falls to 5-9 with a 5.49 ERA. He can't be relied on in fantasy leagues.

Tue Aug 2 201113:59Report: O's claim Jo-Jo Reyes off waivers
According to MLBTR's Ben Nicholson-Smith, the Orioles have claimed Jo-Jo Reyes off waivers from the Blue Jays.
Reyes was designated for assignment by Toronto in late July after posting an ugly 5.40 ERA and 1.59 WHIP in 20 starts. The 26-year-old left-hander is unlikely to ever become a reliable major league option.

Sat Jul 23 201113:22Jays designate Jo-Jo Reyes for assignment
Blue Jays designated LHP Jo-Jo Reyes for assignment.
It was time. The Jays had been reluctant to give up on Reyes because he throws from the left side and can touch the mid-90s, but the results simply haven't been there, as he has given up fewer than four runs just twice over his last eight outings and holds a 5.40 ERA and 1.59 WHIP for the season. They'll hope he clears waivers so they can keep him in the organization. It's not clear who will take his spot in the rotation, but Jesse Litsch is the most likely candidate.
