Campbell was a one-man wrecking crew Sunday against the Rams, racking up 11 tackles (10 solo), three tackles for loss, two quarterback hits, and 0.5 sacks.

Campbell was everywhere in Week 4, but the Cardinals' defense itself was unable to force a turnover, after accumulating seven (all interceptions) over the course of the first three weeks of the season. Stuck in the 50-to-75 tackle territory in each of the past five campaigns, he currently has 25 to his credit, which is a career-best pace. On the other side of the coin, the half sack Sunday was his first in the category in 2015, so he has some work to do to uphold his standard (6-to-9 sacks in six consecutive seasons).

Campbell took in 56 of the Cardinals' 72 defensive snaps Sunday at Chicago, Mike Jurecki of FOX Sports 910 Phoenix reports.

Campbell has totaled six tackles in both Week 1 and 2, but he's augmented his line with one tackle for loss and one pass defended. He has yet to nab a sack, though, which will surely come to pass as he's accrued at least six in each of the past six seasons.

Campbell's first sack of the season could occur sooner rather than later this Sunday against a Bears offensive line that surrendered 41 in 2014.

Campbell underwent successful sports hernia surgery during the first week of February, the Cardinals' official site reports.

Campbell played through the injury from at least Week 13 through the Cardinals' wild-card playoff loss in Carolina. Additionally, he sat out Weeks 6 and 7 due to a sprained MCL in his right knee, but the ailments didn't stop the pass rusher from racking up 58 tackles (48 solo), seven sacks, nine tackles for loss, one forced fumble, and one interception in 14 games last season. Upon returning to the Cardinals' facility Tuesday, he relayed that he expects to be healthy in time for the commencement of offseason workouts in the latter half of April.

Campbell will undergo surgery next week to repair a sports hernia that he played through after Week 13, USA Today's Tom Pelissero reports.

Campbell has played 13 or more games in each of his seven NFL seasons, but he seemingly deals with an injury or two every year. In 2014, it was the sports hernia and a sprained MCL, with the latter causing him to miss Weeks 6 and 7. Campbell still had another fantastic year, piling up 58 tackles (48 solo), seven sacks, an interception, a forced fumble and three passes defensed. He should be healthy by the start of training camp next season, and while the Cardinals have a rather unfavorable cap situation, Campbell doesn't figure to be one of the casualties.

No matter, the 28-year-old recorded at least six sacks for the sixth campaign in a row, meaning the pass rusher should regain premier status with running mate Darnell Dockett (knee) back in the picture next season.

After the performance, Campbell has tallied five sacks in the past three games, which supports the notion that he's in tip-top shape following a two-game absence earlier this season due to an MCL sprain, according to the team's official site.

Campbell's played 72.6 percent (45 of 62) of the Cardinals' defensive snaps, according to FOX Sports 910 Phoenix, which fell between his usage (67.4 and 89 percent) from the two games following his Week 8 return from a sprained MCL. Defensive coordinator Todd Bowles may have found a happy medium with Arizona's premier pass rusher, and if that's the case, Campbell is poised to bolster the pursuits of IDP owners as the fantasy playoffs approach.

Campbell's usage increased significantly from his Week 8 return -- 67.4 to 89 percent of the snaps -- and his production responded in kind, with four tackles (two solo) and one tackle for loss added to his ledger. In the process, he teamed with nose tackle Dan Williams to whip the Cowboys' offensive line continually, spurring DeMarco Murray's worst performance (79 yards rushing) of the season. As the health of his knee improves, Campbell is a decent bet to accrue at least six sacks for a sixth consecutive year, despite only one in his game log to date.

With a knee brace in tow, Campbell's impact on IDP pursuits could once again be underwhelming, after tallying two tackles (one solo) in his return last Sunday from a sprained MCL. Luckily, he has an easier target (Brandon Weeden) to focus on with Tony Romo (back) inactive.

Afterward, Campbell told the Cardinals' official site, "I could definitely tell a difference [wearing the brace] but I was able to be functional and explosive and leave it all on the field. It held up pretty good. After the game I was exhausted."

Although Campbell mustered just two tackles (one solo) and no other counting stats, he equaled fellow lineman Tommy Kelly for most snaps along the defensive front. Campbell was understandably constrained by the brace on his right knee, but his recovery from an MCL sprain may require its services for the foreseeable future. If so, owners should temper expectations until his playmaking ability is reestablished.

Campbell will be accompanied by a brace on his right leg, but the Cardinals' defensive front include his services for the first time since Week 5 in Denver. Meanwhile, IDP owners shouldn't expect his typical number of reps, and his second sack of the season may be difficult to come by against an offensive line that has given up just seven sacks in six games.

Campbell (knee) is questionable for Sunday's game against Philadelphia.

Campbell logged two limited practices to close out the week, giving hope that he might return from his MCL injury in what could be a profitable matchup with a run-heavy, fast-paced Philadelphia offense. Still, even if he's active Sunday, Campbell probably won't see a full workload in his initial return.
