Sat Dec 24 201112:15Heat cut Eddie House on Sunday
The Heat cut Eddie House from their roster on Sunday.
House only had value as a 3-point gunner off the bench and his release isn't surprising -- he's still dealing with a knee injury and the Heat have Mike Miller and James Jones to spread the floor when needed. Norris Cole looks like an even better sleeper now that House is off the roster.

Sat Dec 10 201117:36Eddie House still out w/ knee surgery
Eddie House (left knee surgery) isn't sure if he will be ready for Miami's opening game on Dec. 25.
"It could be 2 weeks from now. It could be maybe 3 or 4 weeks," said House. Miami is way too deep for House to have any fantasy impact this season, even at 100% health.

Fri Dec 9 201119:18Eddie House (knee) to be out several weeks
Eddie House (knee) is expected to miss several weeks and has no timetable for his return.
Even if you're hunting threes, drafting House in most formats would be a mistake until his knee checks out.

Fri Dec 9 201118:31Eddie House out after knee surgery
Eddie House recently had his knee scoped and he'll miss Heat training camp.
That will also leave him very iffy to start the season, but he doesn't have fantasy value either way. Unless you're in a very deep league and looking for cheap 3-pointers.

Thu Jun 30 201118:22Eddie House opts in to stay with heat
Guard Eddie House opted in with the Heat and will play for the team next season.
House is a 3-point specialist but isn't likely to offer much fantasy value in Miami (or anywhere else) after averaging 6.5 ppg and hitting just over a 3-pointer per game last season.

Tue Jun 14 201110:13House has a player option
Eddie House has a player option for $1.4 million for next season.
We suspect House, 33, will exercise that option. He knows he wouldn't do much better on the open market. House actually played a huge role in the Game 6 of the Finals, logging 21 minutes and knocking down three 3-pointers.

Wed Apr 13 201123:22Eddie House leads Heat to final win
Eddie House started for the Heat on Wednesday and hit seven 3-pointers on his way to a season-high 35 points in an easy win over the Raptors.
House didn't do anything else, but if you somehow rolled the dice on him tonight, it paid off. James Jones added 12 points and four 3-pointers, Juwan Howard had 18 points and six boards, Mario Chalmers came off the bench for five points, 13 assists, two steals, a block and a 3-pointer, while Jamaal Magloire added eight points and a season-high 19 boards off the bench. The Heat will face the Sixers in the playoffs.

Mon Mar 21 201116:32Eddie House to play backup PG for Miami
Eddie House will serve as Miami's backup point guard with Mario Chalmers (knee) expected to miss two weeks.
There will be plenty of times when D-Wade, LeBron, and even Mike Miller run the offense, but Spoelstra said he has "full confidence in Eddie ... He's kept himself ready." Fantasy owners should only watch him in deep leagues, if you need points and threes.

Mon Mar 21 201110:50Injury to Chalmers may mean minutes for House
With the injury to Mario Chalmers (knee), Eddie House may find extra minutes in the Heat rotation at the point.
Mike Bibby will step into the starting role as expected, but Eddie House could see time giving him a breather. House is a solid shooter and has shown explosive flashes when given the opportunity. Don't go running for him but keep an eye on the situation to see how his minute situation changes.

Sun Feb 6 201117:12House drills Clippers from behind the arc
Eddie House was on fire from downtown against the Clippers on Sunday drilling three 3-pointers and scoring 15 points.
Keep an eye on Eddie House. He's seen double figures over the past four games and hit two or more 3-pointers in the same time frame. Also of note, House received a flagrant-2 foul resulting in an ejection after chopping Blake Griffin, after official review the foul was downgraded and he was allowed to continue playing.
Mon Jan 31 201117:19Eddie House fined 25k for 'obscene' dance
Eddie House has been fined $25,000 for making an obscene gesture following his game-winning 3-pointer in Oklahoma City.
House's 'gesture' has been called the "Sam Cassell junk dance," for those of you who remember Cassell's antics. This won't affect House's availability, and it probably won't affect his on-court behavior very much either.

Fri Jan 28 201102:20House plays for four minutes
Eddie House was able to play Thursday against the Knicks, but managed to miss his only shot attempt in four minutes.
He had actually been productive lately, but inconsistency will keep him from being anything more than an emergency replacement for now.
Fri Jan 28 201101:41Eddie House returned to action on Thursday January 27
Eddie House returned to action on Thursday January 27.
Wed Jan 26 201112:36House ready to go Thursday
Eddie House (ankle) practiced Wednesday and is expected to play in Thursday's game against the Knicks.
House has been on fire from 3-point range lately, making 13-of-23 attempts over his last four games. If he can stay that hot, he's a good bet for 20 minutes off the bench.

Mon Jan 24 201116:29Eddie House sits w/ ankle injury
Heat guard Eddie House didn't practice on Monday due to a sprained right ankle he sustained in Saturday's game.
House is day-to-day but his absence is hardly noticeable in fantasy leagues, especially with Mike Miller healthy.

Sat Jan 22 201123:33Eddie House scores 13 for Heat
Eddie House had 13 points and four 3-pointers in Saturday's win over the Raptors.
He simply became relevant because the Heat were shorthanded tonight. Don't give him a second look.
Thu Dec 9 201010:40House doesn't know why he's out of rotation
Eddie House said he is "baffled and dumbfounded" as to why he has fallen out of the rotation.
House has lost his minutes to Mario Chalmers, who is a significantly better ball-handler. James Jones is filling the role of designated shooter, and the Heat have won six straight games. House should just sit quietly and wait for his chance.

Fri Dec 3 201009:53Eddie House furious at Daniel Gibson
Eddie House was furious at Daniel Gibson both during and following Thursday's game, and had to be talked out of a physical confrontation.
House was overheard saying, "When that (expletive) turns the corner I'm putting my hands on him." Gibson was jawing with House in the fourth quarter when both received technical fouls, but it's unlikely more will come of this.

Mon Nov 29 201023:06House plays just two minutes on Monday
Eddie House played just under two minutes in Monday's game, without logging any statistics.
Mario Chalmers played 22 minutes and appeared to have passed him on the depth chart, but Erik Spoelstra said House's limited minutes were not by design. Either way, House has fallen off the radar for some time so stay away.

Sun Nov 21 201000:28House scores season-high 20 points
Eddie House hit six 3-point buckets on his way to a season-high 20 points, making 7-of-13 shots from the field to go with one rebound, four assists, and a steal in 30 minutes off the bench.
Fellow 3-point specialist James Jones hit just 1-of-7 shots from the field without any threes, and House is now the player to own between the two. If Dwyane Wade (wrist) misses Monday's game against the Pacers, House could be a decent play in deeper leagues regardless of whether you need threes.
