Wed Mar 12 201416:20Jeremy Moore, Jerry Sands homer for Rays
Jeremy Moore and Jerry Sands both hit their third homers of the spring for the Rays on Wednesday.
Neither player is on the 40-man and neither figured to be in the running for a bench spot, but the numbers are awfully nice. Moore is 8-for-20 with six extra-base hits, while Sands is 9-for-20 with seven extra-base hits. Barring an injury, the Rays seem set with a bench of Jose Molina, Logan Forsythe, Sean Rodriguez and Brandon Guyer. However, with the way Moore and Sands are playing, perhaps Rodriguez could be made available in trade.
