Mon Jun 7 201010:26Stokes' rehab assignment given more time
The Angels have extended Brian Stokes' rehab assignment as the reliever attempts to correct a flaw in his delivery.
Stokes was placed on the disabled list on May 12 with right shoulder fatigue and started a minor league rehab assignment with Triple-A Salt Lake about 10 days later. It could last another week, if not more. "Health-wise, he's doing much better," manager Mike Scioscia said recently, "but I think some of the things he was doing on his delivery was putting a little bit of a strain on his arm and he's trying to work through some things."
