Diamondbacks acquired RHP Rafael Rodriguez, LHP Joe Saunders, LHP Patrick Corbin and a player to be named from the Angels for RHP Dan Haren.
Rodriguez has posted a 4.50 ERA in 32 2/3 career innings pitched, striking out only 11. He's pitched only one game for the Angels this year and was in the minors at the time of the trade. Once signed to the biggest bonus paid by the organization to a Dominican prospect, Rodriguez wasn't even ranked amongst the club's top 10 prospects by Baseball America in the off-season. His potential, at this point, appears capped to middle relief.
