Thu Dec 22 201111:10Carlos Arroyo signs with Besiktas in Turkey
Carlos Arroyo has agreed to terms with Besiktas Milangaz.
Arroyo couldn't find an opportunity he liked stateside so decided to head overseas instead. It wouldn't be a surprise to see him back in the league at some point, but he should never be a starting point guard in the NBA again.

Sat Dec 10 201123:12Arroyo could be stop-gap solution in Atlanta
Beat writer Michael Cunningham wrote Saturday that free agent Carlos Arroyo could be a good "stop-gap solution" to the Hawks' backup PG position.
The Hawks clearly aren't totally comfortable with Kirk Hinrich's shoulder injury, but we don't want to make a huge deal over it. Current second-year backup PG Pape Sy has no experience and that's what the Hawks are trying to guard against. Nevertheless, Jeff Teague is going to be the prohibitive favorite for starter's minutes all season long.

Wed Dec 7 201116:23Arroyo interested in playing for Knicks
Carlos Arroyo has expressed his interested in joining the Knicks.
It's unclear if the interest is mutual, but the Knicks could use a backup PG and the veteran could potentially be a consideration. Arroyo played for Miami and Boston last season, averaging 4.8 points and 2.0 assists per game.

Wed Sep 7 201103:15Arroyo keeps his foot on the gas at the FIBAs
Carlos Arroyo continued to lead Puerto Rico in their 79-74 win over Canada on Tuesday, scoring 26 points on 9-of-15 shooting with three rebounds, four assists, and a steal.
He has had a great tournament, scoring 16.5 points per game while hitting 48% of his 3-pointers. Oddly enough, Puerto Rico relies on him as their No. 1 scorer and he has done a fine job, but this isn't a career renaissance by any stretch of the imagination.

Updating a previous item, Carlos Arroyo has denied rumors that he is in negotiations with Cantu of the Italian League.

Tue Jul 5 201114:09Carlos Arroyo could be leaving NBA once again
Carlos Arroyo is negotiating with Pallacanestro Cantu of the Italian League.
Arroyo wouldn't garner much interest on the open market as a free agent in the NBA right now, and it's possible he stays overseas even if the lockout gets lifted, although that's looking unlikely to occur anytime soon.

Tue May 17 201110:28Arroyo likely gone
Free agent Carlos Arroyo is not expected back with the Celtics, according to the Boston Herald.
Arroyo didn't see the floor in the playoffs with Delonte West healthy. Arroyo will get some nibbles as a No. 2 or 3 point guard elsewhere thanks to his passing ability.

Sun May 1 201114:38Arroyo to be active in Game 1 over Pavlovic
Carlos Arroyo will be active for game 1 over Sasha Pavlovic for the Celtics.
Arroyo probably won't even see the court, but perhaps the time he spent with the Heat earlier this season gave him the nod over the fellow veteran Pavlovic.

Mon Mar 14 201109:40Arroyo sees big minutes while Rondo struggles
Carlos Arroyo was on the floor for 25 minutes in Sunday's game against the Bucks scoring two points on 1-of-5 shooting with two rebounds and six assists.
The bigger story is Rajon Rondo's poor outing. If Arroyo's seeing big minutes, it's probably because Rondo is in foul trouble or hurting. Rondo looked gassed on Sunday and might need a few games with lesser minutes to catch his breath. Arroyo isn't worth considering unless Rondo's going to miss time.

Sat Mar 5 201115:33Carlos Arroyo signed by Celtics
The Celtics have signed Carlos Arroyo, who was recently waived by the Heat.
The Cs didn't have a legitimate backup PG (Marquis Daniels, Nate Robinson and Delonte West have all taken turns pretending), and Arroyo should be a steadying influence for the second unit. Don't look to him for any fantasy value.

Tue Mar 1 201117:01Heat waive Carlos Arroyo
The Miami Heat have waived point guard Carlos Arroyo.
This shouldn't be a surprise to anyone. He's at the bottom of an already weak point guard rotation. Arroyo will likely be replaced by Mike Bibby who should step into the starting role for the Heat.

Tue Mar 1 201112:53Arroyo not with Heat
Carlos Arroyo was not with the Heat on Tuesday.
This is the nail in the coffin on the Mike Bibby deal. Arroyo has almost certainly been handed his walking papers so the Heat can add Bibby.

Sun Jan 30 201115:45Arroyo registers first DNP-CD of season
Carlos Arroyo received a DNP-CD Sunday afternoon for the first time this season.
This probably won't be the first either. Mario Chalmers has officially knocked Carlos Arroyo out of the lineup.
Sun Jan 23 201114:33Arroyo playing way out of rotation
Carlos Arroyo has likely fallen out of the Heat's rotation, according to beat writer Ira Winderman.
Mario Chalmers has surpassed Arroyo as the starter and Dwyane Wade/Mike Miller/LeBron James can handle backup duties. That leaves Arroyo out in the cold for the second straight year, and he only has himself to blame. Arroyo's inability to knock down an open 3-pointer makes him a liability when teams double team the Big Three.

Sat Jan 8 201100:06Carlos Arroyo scores 15 in OT win
Carlos Arroyo hit 6-of-11 shots and a 3-pointer for 15 points and three assists in Friday's win.
Don't pay much attention to this line, as it was more of a fluke than anything else. He scored a total of four points in his previous two games.
Fri Dec 17 201012:15Arroyo back in action for Heat on Friday
Carlos Arroyo will return to action on Friday after missing one game following his grandfather's death.
Arroyo will likely replace Mario Chalmers in the starting five, though neither guy has been offering fantasy value regardless of the circumstances.

Wed Dec 15 201011:34Arroyo out for personal reasons Wednesday
Carlos Arroyo (personal) is out for Wednesday's game against the Cavs.
Arroyo is in Puerto Rico due to the death of his grandfather. No word on when he'll rejoin the team. Mario Chalmers will start tonight.

Thu Dec 9 201001:28Arroyo scores zero points in win over Jazz
Carlos Arroyo backed up his 18-point game from Monday with zero points on 0-of-3 shooting in 23 minutes on Wednesday.
The Heat don't need Arroyo to be productive as long as LeBron and Wade are getting along well together, so anything Arroyo does is a bonus. Despite his great line on Monday, this line is the reason he should continue to be ignored in fantasy.
