Bennett caught four passes on 11 targets in Sunday's win over the Chiefs, accumulating 32 receiving yards.

As was expected Sunday with both Alshon Jeffery (hamstring) and Eddie Royal (ankle) out, Bennett led the Bears in targets, but failed to do much with those opportunities. While it was a disappointing effort for Bennett on the heels of his season-best performance a week earlier against the Raiders (11 catches, 83 yards, one touchdown), the fact that he's been seeing so much volume in the passing game the last two weeks bodes well for his future production. He should be considered one of the top fantasy options at tight end heading into the Bears' Week 6 matchup against the 0-5 Lions.

Bennett hauled in 11 catches off of 13 targets for 83 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's win over the Raiders.

Bennett has been the largest beneficiary of Alshon Jeffery's absence, leading the team in targets, receiving yards and touchdowns through four weeks. With only so many passes to go around, Bennett may see a slight dip in opportunities once Jeffery returns, but keep in mind that offensive coordinator Adam Gase worked wonders with a similarly athletic tight end, Julius Thomas, in Denver. If nothing else, Bennett, as Thomas was, should be considered a focal point of Chicago's red-zone offense.

Bennett had four catches on five targets for just 15 yards in Sunday's 26-0 loss at Seattle.

It's hard to put a ton of blame on Bennett for his lack of production, as he was facing a tough defense on the road. Furthermore, Bennett had to catch passes from backup Jimmy Clausen, who completed just 9-of-17 attempts for 63 yards, and didn't have starting WR Alshon Jeffery in the lineup to free up the middle. Expect much better production from Bennett next week against the Raiders, who have been absolutely torched by opposing TEs through three games, allowing five touchdowns.

Bennett had four catches on six targets for 48 yards Sunday against the Cardinals.

Bennett was looking at a bigger role in the passing game with Alshon Jeffery ruled out because of a calf injury, but it didn't come to fruition because starting quarterback Jay Cutler was knocked out of the game in the second quarter with a hamstring injury. Bennett is always capable of putting up solid fantasy numbers, but the downgrade from Cutler to backup Jimmy Clausen is big enough that his fantasy upside takes a considerable hit if Cutler has to miss any additional time.

Bennett caught five balls for 55 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's Week 1 loss to the Packers.

Bennett's season debut likely would have registered as a disappointing performance for fantasy owners until he reeled in a mostly meaningless 24-yard touchdown pass with 34 seconds left in the fourth quarter. Still, the tight end finished third on the Bears with seven targets on the afternoon, and figures to remain one of the more productive players at his position this season.

Bennett caught all seven of his targets for 45 yards in Saturday's preseason game against the Bengals.

With Chicago's wideout group decimated by injuries, Jay Cutler unsurprisingly honed in on Bennett, who managed no more than nine yards on each of his seven receptions. The Bears' offense will likely be in better shape for a Week 1 matchup with the Packers, but Bennett still figures to have a prominent role, particularly in the short passing game.

Bennett caught one pass for 17 yards during Thursday's preseason opener against the Dolphins.

Most of the Bears' starters were limited to two series, but Bennett's catch represented the team's longest play in the receiving game on the night. Bennett made some waves earlier in the summer by not participating in the team's offseason program while he was pursuing a new contract, but threats of a hold out never really materialized. He'll be back with the Bears for the third season of his four-year, $20.4 million contract and should be among the top tight ends selected after setting career highs in receptions (90), yardage (916), and touchdowns (six) in 2014.

Bennett has reported to the Bears' team facility ahead of Tuesday's beginning to their mandatory three-day minicamp, NFL.com reports.

Bennett has skipped all of the Bears' offseason activities thus far while seeking a new contract, but with the threat of being fined for missing minicamp looming, the tight end has returned to Chicago for this week's practices. As a result, it appears Bennett will finally be available to begin learning new offensive coordinator Adam Gase's scheme. Last season, Bennett set career-highs with 90 catches for 916 yards and six touchdowns.

Coach John Fox said Wednesday that he isn't certain if Bennett will report to the team for next week's mandatory three-day minicamp, Jeff Dickerson of ESPN Chicago reports.

Bennett has been absent from the Bears' entire offseason program thus far, likely due to his dissatisfaction with his $4.9 million 2015 base salary. The Pro Bowl tight end is still under contract for two more seasons at that cap figure, which likely stifles the Bears' motivation to offer any sort of long-term extension. Should he opt to skip the three-day minicamp, Bennett would be subject to a fine for every day he misses.

Bennett remained away from the Bears' offseason program Wednesday, the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

After leading all tight ends with 90 receptions in 2014, Bennett has yet to attend a voluntary workout this offseason due to his want for an amended contract. Entering the third season of a four-year deal, his dissatisfaction spurred rumors that the Bears were shopping the TE prior to the draft, which could reemerge if his absence extends through the remainder of the offseason program and into training camp. His contract status aside, his presence is valuable in a passing attack that is thin outside of Alshon Jeffery and Matt Forte.

Coach John Fox said Thursday that he anticipates Bennett will still be a member of the Bears after the NFL Draft concludes over the weekend, ESPN Chicago's Jeff Dickerson reports.

The 28-year-old, who is due $4.9 million in 2015, led all tight ends with 90 receptions last season, and established career-best outputs in yardage (1,038) and touchdowns (six). While it's still possible the Bears could look to deal Bennett if his dissatisfaction with his contract continues by the time training camp arrives, the team's dearth of receiving options after Alshon Jeffery will probably motivate the team to wait out the impasse with Bennett.

In any case, as the NFL draft approaches, there's all kinds of trade chatter in general, so for now, we'll consider the notion that Bennett could be dealt a speculative one.

Bennett had eight catches on 11 targets for 59 yards during Sunday's loss to the Vikings.

Quarterback Jay Cutler's inconsistent play this season was mirrored in Bennett's production, as he had five games with double-digit targets, but six games with fewer than 40 receiving yards (including Week 16's donut). Despite the inconsistencies, Bennett still finished with a career-high 916 receiving yards and six touchdowns, though with the Bears possibly looking to move on from Cutler, Bennett may need to prove himself to a new QB next year.

Bennett caught one pass for zero yards in the Bears' Week 16 loss to the Lions.

Bennett had already entered Week 16 with career-bests in catches (82), receiving yardage (857) and touchdowns (six), but he couldn't have picked a worse time to put up a bagel with many of his fantasy owners rolling him out for their championship matches. He saw a season-low three targets on the afternoon with Jimmy Clausen at the helm, but with previous starter Jay Cutler calling the signals for the Week 17 game against the Vikings, Bennett could be in line for a rebound performance.

Bennett caught 4-of-6 targets for 36 yards in Monday's 31-15 loss to the Saints.

The six targets were second on the team to Alshon Jeffery's nine, but it was still a disappointing total for Bennett in the first game since Brandon Marshall suffered a season-ending injury. While volume probably won't be an issue for the tight end over the final two weeks, Chicago's offense was a complete disaster in Monday's favorable matchup. Next week brings a much tougher matchup with the Lions, though Bennett did manage eight catches for 109 yards on Thanksgiving.

Bennett is not listed on the Bears' injury report for Monday night's game against the Saints.

Bennett appeared to injure his leg/knee in the second half of last Thursday's game against the Cowboys, but he is apparently feeling no ill effects heading into Week 15. The Saints have had all kinds of trouble stopping opposing passing attacks this year, so feel free to roll with Bennett on Monday night.

Bennett (foot) caught 12-of-15 targets for 84 yards and a touchdown in Thursday's 41-28 loss to the Cowboys.

Jay Cutler attempted 46 passes, and with Brandon Marshall (ribs) forced out of the game, the veteran signal-caller often had to settle for dump-offs to Bennett or Matt Forte. Bennett did have a few double-digit gains, but nothing beyond 16 yards. Bennett appeared to injure his leg/knee during the second half, and while he returned to catch more passes, he was seen limping on multiple occasions. Bennett will have 10 full days to rest, heading into a Monday Night Football matchup with the porous New Orleans defense.

Bennett (foot) is active for Thursday's game against the Cowboys, Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune reports.

Coming off his second 100-yard receiving day of the season, Bennett will take on his normal role as the Bears' starting TE. However, the going may be tough against a Dallas defense that has surrendered 13 total receptions for 128 yards and two touchdown catches in the past four contests to tight ends.

Bennett (foot) is listed as probable for Thursday's game against the Cowboys, Rich Campbell of the Chicago Tribune reports.

Bennett kicked off the week with a limited showing in drills, but with back-to-back full practices in his back pocket, there's little worry regarding his availability Thursday. Meanwhile, his opponent, the Cowboys, haven't yielded much to tight ends in the last four outings, allowing a combined 13 catches for 128 yards and two touchdown grabs.

Bennett (foot) was a full participant at Tuesday's practice.

Bennett increased his participation after getting in a limited workout Monday, so he is well on his way to suiting up for Thursday's game against the Cowboys.
