Cleveland Guardians starting pitcher
Tanner Bibee bounced back from a shaky start to strike out nine batters and nab the win during Thursday's 4-2 road victory over the division-rival Minnesota Twins, allowing one run on five hits and one walk in 5 1/3 innings. Bibee gave up three runs in four innings during his last showing against the lowly Oakland Athletics, so Thursday certainly signified a major improvement. The 25-year-old right-hander stranded the bases loaded in a scoreless second frame before second baseman
Edouard Julien tagged him for a solo home run in the fifth, but it was a great performance otherwise. Heading into a soft matchup with the visiting Chicago White Sox in his next scheduled start on Wednesday, Bibee shows a 3.86 ERA and 1.71 WHIP with 13 K's over his first 9 1/3 innings of 2024. He's a confident start in fantasy for that one.
