The Orioles weren't able to negotiate a trade of Parmelee after designating him for assignment Friday, so he'll stick around at Triple-A as organization depth at first base. The 27-year-old slashed .216/.255/.433 across 102 plate appearances with Baltimore.

Parmelee was the odd man out following the Orioles' addition of Gerardo Parra shortly before the trade deadline. He will now go on waivers, and will likely end up back in the minors if unclaimed.
