Tue Nov 28 202313:16Brewers Sign Easton McGee To Minors Deal
The Milwaukee Brewers signed right-hander Easton McGee (elbow) and outfielder Brewer Hicklen to minor-league deals on Tuesday that include invitations to major-league spring training camp next year. McGee's deal is a two-year contract. McGee had Tommy John surgery in May and is unlikely to be ready to pitch in 2024 until around midseason. The 25-year-old former fourth-round pick by the Tampa Bay Rays in 2016 made his major-league debut with the Rays in 2022 and made just one appearance. He resurfaced with the Seattle Mariners at the big-league level this year and tossed 6 2/3 shutout innings while walking one and striking out two in one start.

Tue Oct 31 202316:06Easton McGee, Adam Oller, Luis Torrens Outrighted
The Seattle Mariners outrighted right-handers Easton McGee (elbow) and Adam Oller and catcher Luis Torrens to Triple-A Tacoma on Tuesday. McGee had Tommy John surgery on his right elbow in May and is expected to be sidelined into the second half of the 2024 campaign. The 25-year-old has thrown 9 2/3 scoreless innings with a walk and three K's in two outings (one start) in the last two years with Seattle and the Tampa Bay Rays. Oller, 29, gave up 24 runs (22 earned) in just 19 2/3 innings over nine games (one start) for the Oakland Athletics in 2023 with 12 walks and 13 strikeouts. Torrens, 27, played in 18 games with the M's and Chicago Cubs this year and went 7-for-28 (.250) with no homers and four RBI in just 30 plate appearances at the big-league level.

Mon May 22 202322:10Easton McGee Expected To Have Tommy John Surgery
Seattle Mariners right-hander Easton McGee (elbow) is expected to have Tommy John surgery, with Dr. Keith Meister performing the procedure. McGee went on the injured list with a flexor strain in his right forearm, with the cause being instability in his UCL. The 25-year-old will now miss the remainder of the 2023 campaign and most likely at least half of next season. He made his first major-league start on April 29 against the Toronto Blue Jays and tossed 6 2/3 scoreless innings while giving up just one hit, walking one and striking out two. McGee has only tossed 9 2/3 frames in the majors in the last two years, but he hasn't allowed an earned run in that time. In five starts for Triple-A Tacoma, he had a 3.14 ERA, 1.22 WHIP, nine walks and 24 K's in 28 2/3 innings this year.

Sun Apr 30 202313:51Easton McGee Lands On The 15-Day IL
Seattle Mariners right-handed pitcher Easton McGee (forearm) has been placed on the 15-day injured list with a right forearm strain. This is a bummer for McGee, who was recalled on Saturday to start against the Blue Jays and pitched very well. He held the Jays scoreless and even had a no-hitter going through his first six innings. We'll see how long he is on the shelf but it's another blow for a Seattle club that's off to an underwhelming start to the 2023 season.

Sat Apr 29 202313:17Easton McGee Recalled From Triple-A Tacoma
Seattle Mariners right-handed pitcher Easton McGee has been recalled from Triple-A Tacoma and is expected to start on Saturday against the Toronto Blue Jays. Seattle opted to go with the 25-year-old over Chris Flexen, who has struggled mightily and was slated to start. McGee has notched five decent starts at the Triple-A level this year, posting a 3.14 ERA, 1.22 WHIP, and 24:9 K/BB ratio over 28 2/3 innings. He should be left on the waiver wire for fantasy purposes, however, as the Toronto lineup poses a scary matchup.
