That was fast. Fresh up from the minors, Delaney allowed three runs on four hits over three innings against the A's in relief of James Shields on Wednesday night. He threw 66 pitches, so he likely would have been unavailable for the next couple of days, anyway. The Rays will make a corresponding roster move prior to Thursday's game.
