One of the candidates for saves to open the year with Devin Williams (back) sidelined, Uribe has three saves but also a rough 6.91 ERA with 12 walks and 14 K's in 14 1/3 innings. Joel Payamps and Trevor Megill are considered the team's co-closers with Uribe out of the picture for now.

Uribe was great in his first 32 relief appearances in 2023, posting a 1.76 ERA and 1.17 WHIP with 20 walks and 39 K's. Although Payamps could still see save chances of his own for the Brewers, the fact that Uribe got the first opportunity can't be ignored. He's a must-add for fantasy managers in need of saves early on.

Payamps, 29, had a 2.55 ERA with three saves and 28 holds in 70 2/3 innings last year and should be considered a top speculatory closer for fantasy managers late in drafts. Uribe, 23, lights up the radar gun and can whiff batters with the best of them, but his elevated walk rate is a cause for concern.

Uribe has touched 103 mph on the radar gun with his fastball, so he has a live arm. The 23-year-old has quickly risen up Milwaukee's farm system, although he probably isn't going to be on the fantasy radar in what will likely be a middle-relief role to close out the first half of the 2023 season. But if Uribe continues to excel in the big leagues, he could be put into a high-leverage bullpen role sooner than later.

The 22-year-old has earned himself a move to the next level after a stellar performance at Double-A Biloxi. He posted a 1.80 ERA, 1.07 WHIP and 28/9 K/BB ratio across 15 innings in Double-A this season. Uribe has a fastball that often clocks in the upper 90's, but has hit as high as 102 mph with it. At this point, it shouldn't be too long before Uribe is pitching on the big league roster. He has the potential and stuff to be a high-leverage option out of the bullpen.
