Wed Nov 8 202316:44Adam Oller Agrees To Deal With Guardians
Free-agent right-hander Adam Oller agreed to terms with the Cleveland Guardians on Wednesday that includes an invitation to spring training, according to a source. Oller has spent both of his big-league seasons the last two years with the Oakland Athletics and will reunite with new Cleveland manager Stephen Vogt. In his two seasons with Oakland, Oller went 3-9 with a 7.09 ERA (6.65 FIP), 1.72 WHIP, 51 walks and 59 strikeouts in 94 innings over 28 appearances (15 starts). The 29-year-old swing man allowed 24 runs (22 earned) on 29 hits while walking 12 and fanning 13 in 19 2/3 innings over nine appearances (one starts) for the A's in 2023, so he's nowhere near the fantasy radar.

Tue Oct 31 202316:06Easton McGee, Adam Oller, Luis Torrens Outrighted
The Seattle Mariners outrighted right-handers Easton McGee (elbow) and Adam Oller and catcher Luis Torrens to Triple-A Tacoma on Tuesday. McGee had Tommy John surgery on his right elbow in May and is expected to be sidelined into the second half of the 2024 campaign. The 25-year-old has thrown 9 2/3 scoreless innings with a walk and three K's in two outings (one start) in the last two years with Seattle and the Tampa Bay Rays. Oller, 29, gave up 24 runs (22 earned) in just 19 2/3 innings over nine games (one start) for the Oakland Athletics in 2023 with 12 walks and 13 strikeouts. Torrens, 27, played in 18 games with the M's and Chicago Cubs this year and went 7-for-28 (.250) with no homers and four RBI in just 30 plate appearances at the big-league level.

Wed Jul 12 202322:17Mariners Claim Adam Oller Off Waivers From A's
The Seattle Mariners claimed right-hander Adam Oller off waivers from the Oakland Athletics on Wednesday after he was recently placed on outright waivers by Oakland. Oller will get another shot with a new team, but he'll remain in the American League West. The 28-year-old reliever allowed a whopping 24 runs (22 earned) on 29 hits (five homers surrendered) while walking 12 and striking out 13 in 19 2/3 innings over nine outing (one start) this year in his second big-league season with the A's to get the boot off the roster. He wasn't very good at Triple-A Las Vegas, either, with a rough 7.11 ERA, 1.66 WHIP, 24 walks and 59 strikeouts in 50 2/3 frames covering 12 appearances (nine starts). Oller will strictly represent minor-league pitching depth in Seattle.

Wed Apr 12 202318:50Adam Oller To Start On Thursday
Oakland Athletics pitcher Adam Oller will make the start against the Baltimore Orioles on Thursday. The 28-year-old has made two relief appearances this season, but will be asked to make a start on Thursday. Oller is primarily a starter, but the A's have been using him in relief to begin the season. Regardless of where he's at, Oller isn't a reliable fantasy option, so managers should look elsewhere for help on Thursday.

Sun Aug 28 202200:50Adam Oller Shuts Down Yankees Over Eight Innings
Oakland Athletics starting pitcher Adam Oller stifled the Yankees offense on Saturday by tossing eight-shutout frames in his team's 3-2 extra-inning win. He allowed just one hit on the night when Oswaldo Cabrera doubled to lead off the sixth inning as he struck out three and walked one in the 88-pitch effort. It was by far the best performance of the season for the 27-year-old who was yet to work a full seven innings all year, let alone eight-scoreless to one of the best offenses in baseball. Although Oller has now strung together three quality starts in a row, he still holds a robust 5.66 ERA and 1.52 WHIP with 40 K through 68 1/3 IP. He can be left on waiver wires for his next start versus Baltimore next weekend, but he could be a player worth keeping an eye on down the stretch run.
