Tue Apr 2316:23Tobias Myers Making MLB Debut On Tuesday
Milwaukee Brewers right-hander Tobias Myers is making his major-league debut on Tuesday and is starting on the mound against the Pittsburgh Pirates on the road. Myers was called up by the Brew Crew last week for pitching depth, but he never got into a game, so this will be the 25-year-old's big-league debut. Before his call-up to Milwaukee, he posted a strong 1.62 ERA with 22 strikeouts and seven walks in 16 2/3 innings at Triple-A Nashville. Given all of the injuries to the team's starters, Myers has a real shot to stick in the Brewers' rotation for a little bit if he impresses the club on Tuesday. He was originally drafted in the sixth round by the Baltimore Orioles in 2016 and has gone 5-20 with a 5.74 ERA and 1.58 WHIP in his four seasons at Triple-A.

Thu Jul 7 202211:50Giants Acquire Tobias Myers From Cleveland
The San Francisco Giants acquired right-hander Tobias Myers from the Cleveland Guardians on Thursday in exchange for cash considerations. The Giants have optioned Myers to Triple-A Sacramento and right-hander Anthony DeSclafani (ankle) has been moved to the 60-day injured list. Myers, who was listed by MLB Pipeline as the Guardians' No. 20 prospect, had really struggled at Triple-A Columbus with a 6.00 ERA, 1.77 WHIP, 40 strikeouts and 33 walks in 60 innings over 14 starts before the trade. San Francisco will attempt to turn the 23-year-old's season around in the minors as they continue his development. Myers has an intriguing fastball but doesn't have a huge margin for error, and he'll need to show much more consistency if he wants to make it to the big leagues.
