Jones (ankle) is listed as questionable for Monday's game against the Steelers.
Jones has not played since injuring his ankle in Week 1, but he will have a chance to return to action Monday after getting in some work at practice during the week. If Jones plays he figures to work as either the Chargers' third or fourth receiver with Steve Johnson (hamstring) sidelined.

With Keenan Allen, Malcom Floyd and Stevie Johnson also in the Chargers' wideout mix, Jones' Week 3 status is of more import to the team's return game than it is to fantasy owners.

Jones (ankle) is officially inactive for Sunday's game at Cincinnati.
Jones' absence will not have any impact on the offense, but it means that Keenan Allen will likely return punts and Branden Oliver should handle kick returns.
Fri Sep 18 201516:39Jones (ankle) doubtful for Sunday's game against Bengals
Jones (ankle) is doubtful for Sunday's game against the Bengals.
With Keenan Allen, Malcom Floyd and Stevie Johnson ahead of him in the Chargers' wideout pecking order, Jones' absence in Week 2 will be felt by the Chargers mostly in their return game.

Jones' Week 2 status is uncertain after suffering what is believed to be a minor ankle sprain in the Chargers' Week 1 win over the Lions, Ian Rapoport of NFL.com reports.
Should Jones miss any time, Branden Oliver and Keenan Allen are likely next in line to take over kickoff and punt return duties. Dontrelle Inman could also step up as San Diego's fourth receiver, behind Allen, Malcom Floyd, and Stevie Johnson. Jones' status will continue to be monitored, but it's unlikely to cause much of a fantasy impact.

Jones was a non-factor on offense as expected, and he only returned one kickoff for 24 yards.
The conventional wisdom was that Jones was brought in to beef up San Diego's return game, but he only fielded one return and was not back deep on the final kickoff of the ballgame. It remains to be seen how much of an impact he can make if the Bolts are evidently not 100% committed to letting him handle all return duties.

Jones did not get any targets in Saturday's preseason game against the Cardinals.
Jones doesn't figure to play many offensive snaps this season, but he will likely open the year as San Diego's return man for both kickoffs and punts. He has nine career return touchdowns, but there is some chance that his shaky hands could eventually cost him the punt-return job.
Fri Mar 6 201513:00Jones will sign two-year contract with Chargers
Jones will sign a two-year contract with the Chargers, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports.
Jones served as Baltimore's No. 3 wide receiver and return specialist in 2012 and 2013, notably producing a slew of big plays during the team's 2012 Super Bowl run. He was essentially removed from the offense by the end of 2014, as the drops that have plagued him throughout this career became more of a problem than ever. He'll likely just serve as a depth receiver in San Diego, but he immediately becomes the favorite to return both kickoffs and punts.
Wed Feb 25 201513:11The Ravens terminated Jones' contract on Wednesday
The Ravens terminated Jones' contract on Wednesday, the team's official site reports.
Per the report, cutting Jones reportedly frees up $750,000 in salary cap space for the Ravens. The 30-year-old wideout wasn't a big part of the team's offense this past season, catching just nine passes for 131 yards, but his utility in the return game should land him a new gig in 2015.

Jones caught 9-of-18 targets for 131 yards during the 2014 regular season.
After serving as Baltimore's No. 3 wide receiver for most of 2012 and 2013, Jones had a disastrous 2014 campaign on the offensive side. He also had a mildly disappointing year in the return game, following two fantastic seasons in that regard. Despite signing a four-year, $12 million contract last offseason, Jones may end up as a cap casualty. If the Ravens retain him, it will likely be with the hope that he can bounce back to elite-level status as a return man.
Thu Dec 18 201414:10Jones (illness) returned to practice Thursday
Jones (illness) returned to practice Thursday, Jeff Zrebiec of the Baltimore Sun reports.
With just seven catches for 103 yards in 14 games to date, Jones -- who sat out Wednesday's practice -- hasn't been much of a factor in the Ravens' offense, though he continues to factor in as a returner.

Jones had four kickoff returns for 188 yards and a touchdown and three punt returns for 32 yards in Sunday's 43-23 loss to the Steelers.
Though not a factor in the offense, Jones finally got things going on special teams, which might inspire the Ravens to eventually give him a few offensive snaps. At the moment, he's essentially just a return specialist, having logged zero offensive snaps in Sunday's loss.

Ravens special teams coordinator Jerry Rosburg hinted that Jones will continue to return punts, ESPN.com reports. "The reason we have [Jones] back there is we really feel confident he's going to make a play for us if we block it well," Rosburg said. "And our players feel the same way. So, based on that, we look forward to blocking for him again."
Jones has muffed two punts and dropped at least four of his 12 targets, but while his role on offense has essentially disappeared, he still worked as the Ravens' kick and punt returner throughout Sunday's win over the Falcons. With just one target over his last five games, Jones can safely be ignored in leagues that don't count return yardage, and he may be one muff/fumble away from losing relevance in even those formats.
Mon Oct 20 201413:06Jones muffed punt and played just four offensive snaps in Sunday...
Jones muffed a punt and played just four offensive snaps in Sunday's 29-7 win over the Falcons.
Jones' terrible season continued, though he did manage a nice, albeit fairly meaningless, return of a safety punt late in the fourth quarter. He's a non-factor in the Baltimore offense, even with Marlon Brown (thigh) missing the past two games. Jones does figure to stay on kick returns, but it won't be surprising if the Ravens replace him on punts with Michael Campanaro.
