Orioles re-signed RHP Zack Clark to a minor league contract with an invitation to spring training.
Clark posted a rough 7.84 ERA and 1.88 WHIP in 111 1/3 innings last season in the Orioles' minor league system. The right-hander will turn 31 years old this July. He's trying to develop a knuckleball and Phil Niekro will work with him on that this spring in camp.

The 29-year-old right-hander was designated for assignment over the weekend so that the Orioles could a roster spot for starter Freddy Garcia. Clark has a 4.56 ERA in 25 2/3 innings this season in the minor leagues.

Zach Clark is en route to Seattle and could be added to the Orioles' roster for Tuesday's game.
Clark, who was added to the 40-man roster over the winter, has a 4.56 ERA and 20/7 K/BB ratio in 25 2/3 innings across five starts this season with Triple-A Norfolk. He would presumably serve as bullpen depth.
