Tue Mar 7 202312:32Terrin Vavra To Resume Swinging Tuesday
Baltimore Orioles infielder Terrin Vavra (shoulder) said he will swing a bat on Tuesday to test his injured left shoulder. He's been feeling much better and expects to play in Grapefruit League games soon. The 25-year-old has been dealing with left shoulder discomfort since late last week and has taken some time off as a precaution in camp. In his first 40 big-league games in 2022, Vavra hit .258/.340/.337 with a .677 OPS, one home run, 12 RBI and 14 runs scored in 103 plate appearances for the O's. He displays excellent plate discipline, which should allow him to have a strong on-base percentage, but he only has modest speed and very little power at the plate. Vavra also probably won't play every day for Baltimore unless an injury opens up a spot.

Mon Aug 22 202218:35Orioles Activate Terrin Vavra From Paternity List
The Baltimore Orioles activated infielder Terrin Vavra from the paternity list on Monday and optioned infielder Richie Martin to Triple-A Norfolk in a corresponding move. Vavra missed the last three games, but he'll be available on Tuesday for the start of a series against the Chicago White Sox in Baltimore. The 25-year-old rookie has played in just 18 games in his first year in the big leagues in 2022 with Baltimore, going 11-for-39 (.282) with no home runs, seven RBI and eight runs scored in 48 plate appearances. It remains to be seen how much playing time Vavra will see now that he's back with the team, but he's worth keeping an eye on in AL-only formats.
