The Washington Nationals have designated relief pitcher Gabe Klobosits for assignment. The 26-year-old saw his first exposure to the majors with the club last year. He pitched 11.1 innings and had a 5.56 ERA and 1.59 WHIP. He only faced one batter this spring. Klobosits stands at a towering 6'8" and has a mid-90s fastball. He was exceptional in the minors last season, posting a 1.64 ERA and 1.096 WHIP while averaging 10.8 K/9 over 38.1 innings of Double-A and Triple-A ball. We'll see if another club is interested in taking a chance on him.
