Astros signed C Edwin Bellorin to a minor league contract.

Bellorin will head to Triple-A Round Rock on Monday to essentially fill the void created by Kevin Cash's departure to Boston. The 28-year-old catcher has registered just 14 major league plate appearances in the last three years and is highly doubtful to make an impact for the Astros.
