Sun Apr 719:42Camilo Doval Locks Down First Save
San Francisco Giants relief pitcher Camilo Doval has experienced a rough start to the season with two runs allowed in 2 2/3 innings coming into Sunday's game. However, the right-hander was able to hold his own versus the San Diego Padres. Doval struck out the side while working around a two-out single by Jackson Merrill. It's still early in the season, but it's nice to see Doval putting together a solid outing. He has been one of the more reliable options at the closer spot over the last few years.

Wed Mar 1307:42Camilo Doval Tosses Another Scoreless Inning
San Francisco Giants closer Camilo Doval tossed another scoreless inning in Tuesday's loss versus the Los Angeles Dodgers. Doval allowed two hits in the contest, with no walks or strikeouts. The fireballer has now thrown four innings this spring and allowed just three hits with two walks and five strikeouts. The 26-year-old appeared in 69 games for the Giants in 2023 and recorded 39 saves with 87 strikeouts in 67 2/3 innings. A steady force at the end of games, Doval can safely be selected as a Top-10 closer option in all formats.

San Francisco Giants closer Camilo Doval was very efficient during Monday's Spring Training game against the Los Angeles Angels. Mon Sep 18 202300:50Camilo Doval Implodes Sunday
San Francisco Giants closer Camilo Doval was once again not on his game Sunday, allowing four runs to the Colorado Rockies in IP. Doval allowed three hits and committed an error that allowed the game to continue. The 26-year-old has been very hittable since the middle of August, a span in which he has allowed 13 runs (8 earned) in 12 IP. With the Giants fighting for a wild card spot, they don't have much time to let Doval figure it out and might have to go with a committee approach if he continues his rough stretch. In the long run, expect Doval to continue as the team's closer, but it is a situation to watch during this stretch run.

Mon Sep 11 202300:44Camilo Doval Picks Up National League-Leading 37th Save
San Francisco Giants closer Camilo Doval cruised to his 37th save on Sunday, closing out a 6-3 win over the Colorado Rockies. Doval allowed a hit and struck out one in his inning of work. The 26-year-old has gotten back on track, converting his last four saves while allowing just one run in his last five innings pitched. Before that he had hit a rough patch, blowing four consecutive saves (more than he had blown all season). He looks fine now though, and should be trustworthy down the stretch. Expect him to be drafted highly among relievers next season.

Wed Aug 23 202321:07Camilo Doval Suffers Fourth Straight Blown Save
San Francisco Giants relief pitcher Camilo Doval has heavily struggled on the mound lately. The right-hander suffered his fourth straight blown save during Wednesday's game against the Philadelphia Phillies. To be fair, the first two blown saves were on errors and the runs were inherited runners. However, the last two blown saves have been completely Doval's fault on the mound. On Wednesday, Doval walked two batters before allowing a game typing three-run home run to Bryce Harper. Doval is certainly having a tough time on the mound right now, but it's unlikely that the Giants remove him from the closer role. Doval has 33 saves and a 3.03 ERA, so he has done a good job throughout most of the season. Possibly, the Giants give him a short break to figure things out, but he should remain the long term closer in San Francisco.

San Francisco Giants closer Camilo Doval blew his sixth save of the season and picked up his fourth loss in Tuesday's 4-3 loss to the Phillies. Doval entered the game to pitch the bottom of the ninth inning up by one. Despite this game, Doval has been one of fantasy's top closers this season, notching 33 saves with a 2.60 ERA and 12.20 K/9 rate. Fantasy managers should have him in their lineups at all times.

Doval came in with the Giants up 3-2 and runners on first and second. He allowed a run to score, but it was on a throwing error. After the Giants regained the lead in the ninth, Doval came back and shut down the Braves. The 26-year-old now holds a 2.29 ERA and 1.04 WHIP on the season, and although he has blown his last two saves (both on unearned runs) he remains near the top of the league with 33 saves. San Francisco Giants closer Camilo Doval picked up his 17th save of the season in Monday's 4-3 win over the Cardinals. Doval entered the game in the eighth inning up by one with two outs and runners on first and third. He allowed a walk to load the bases but got out of the jam with a flyout. He allowed a leadoff single to start the bottom of the ninth, induced a groundball double play, allowed another walk, hit a batter, and finally ended the game on a groundout. It wasn't the cleanest outing, but the 25-year-old has only blown one save opportunity this season with a 1.86 ERA and 12.72 K/9 rate. He should remain a higher-end fantasy option as long as the Giants continue to compete.

San Francisco Giants relief pitcher Camilo Doval notched another save in a 7-5 win over the Miami Marlins on Sunday. Although he did allow a couple of hits and an unearned run in this one, he has been money over the last few weeks. He now has saves in four of the Giants last six games, and has an astounding nine saves in the month of May alone. His workload might be eased at some point soon, as he has thrown a lot of innings lately. Still, he looks as good as ever and should get the majority of the save opportunities in San Fran.

San Francisco Giants relief pitcher Camilo Doval picked up the save in a 5-4 win over the New York Mets on Sunday Night Baseball.
