Tue Apr 1619:11Michael Harris II Moves Up To Two-Hole On Tuesday
With second baseman Ozzie Albies (toe) going on the injured list on Tuesday, Atlanta Braves outfielder Michael Harris II has moved up to second in the batting order against the Houston Astros and right-hander Hunter Brown. Meanwhile, Luis Guillorme will get the start at the keystone and will bat eighth. Guillorme and David Fletcher figure to split playing time at second with Albies out, but Harris could be the biggest fantasy beneficiary in Atlanta if he continues to hit at the top of the lineup while Albies is on the shelf. This is the first time this year the 23-year-old has hit higher than sixth. Harris is off to a fine start in 2024, slashing .290/.333/.468 with two home runs and a stolen base. He has never faced Brown in his career but will become a much more popular DFS lineup piece with Albies out.

Fri Mar 2914:19Michael Harris II Hitting Sixth In Season Opener
Atlanta Braves outfielder Michael Harris II will hit sixth in Friday's season opener versus Zack Wheeler and the rival Philadelphia Phillies. Harris II has moved ahead of Sean Murphy in the lineup, who is hitting seventh while hitting behind Marcell Ozuna in the five-hole. The 23-year-old had another nice season as a sophomore in 2023, hitting .293 with 18 home runs, 76 runs, 20 stolen bases, and an .808 OPS across 138 games, narrowly missing the 20/20 mark for the second straight season after hitting 19 homers with 20 steals as a rookie in 2022. He'll take on a tough customer in Wheeler who worked to a 3.61 ERA in 32 starts last season while putting forth a hefty 22% K-BB% in the process.

Fri Mar 2912:10Michael Harris II Hitting In Six-Hole Friday
Atlanta Braves outfielder Michael Harris II is starting in center field and batting sixth for the Braves on Opening Day on Thursday versus right-hander Zack Wheeler and the Philadelphia Phillies. It's a slight move up for Harris, who spent most of last year hitting ninth for Atlanta in their stacked lineup. If the 23-year-old former third-round pick in 2019 sticks in the six-hole, he'll have more opportunities to rack up counting stats for his fantasy managers in his third year in the majors. The former National League Rookie of the Year has hit an impressive .295/.334/.494 with an .828 OPS, 37 home runs, 121 RBI, 40 stolen bases and 151 runs scored in 252 regular-season games in his first two years in the league. Harris' fantasy arrow is pointing up with the move up the batting order.

Sun Feb 2514:52Michael Harris II Doubles, Homers In 2024 Spring Training Debut
Atlanta Braves outfielder Michael Harris II went 2-for-3 with a double and a solo home run in Saturday's 6-5 Grapefruit League win over the Tampa Bay Rays. He led off for the Braves and homered on the first pitch off Rays' right-hander Nathan Wiles for his first long ball in spring training. The 22-year-old capped his two-hit performance with a double in the top of the fourth inning. Harris slashed .293/.331/.477 with 18 home runs, 57 RBI, 76 runs, and 20 stolen bases over 539 plate appearances in 2023. He is expected to hit in the bottom of the order in a loaded Braves lineup that includes Ronald Acuna Jr., Matt Olson, Ozzie Albies, and Austin Riley. Harris would have to max out production to pay dividends on his third-round price tag. Despite hitting near the bottom of the order, Harris has 20-20 upside and should contribute enough in every hitting category, making him a strong OF2 in upcoming fantasy drafts.

Mon Aug 21 202314:45Michael Harris II Back In Starting Lineup
Atlanta Braves outfielder Michael Harris II (foot) is back in center field and is batting in the two-hole on Monday against the visiting New York Mets and left-hander David Peterson. Harris will return to action for the start of a series against the division-rival Mets after being scratched from Sunday's lineup with a bruised right foot. X-rays came back negative. Fantasy managers should return last year's National League Rookie of the Year to all of their starting lineups. He's been excellent again in his sophomore campaign, hitting .287/.336/.454 with 11 home runs, 37 RBI, 17 stolen bases and 53 runs scored in 100 games. Harris has even been solid against lefties, going 23-for-78 (.295) against them with three of his 11 long balls on the year.

Sun Aug 20 202319:33Michael Harris II Avoids Serious Injury
Atlanta Braves outfielder Michael Harris II (foot) sat out of Sunday's game after fouling a ball off his foot during Saturday's contest. The Braves were going to let Harris play on Sunday, but ultimately scratched him from the lineup due to a foot contusion. The 22-year-old underwent further testing, which came back as negative for any fractures. At the moment, fantasy managers should consider Harris as day-to-day. It wouldn't be shocking to see the Braves hold out Harris for a few days until he's back to 100 percent.

Sun Aug 20 202312:09Michael Harris II Scratched With Foot Contusion
Atlanta Braves outfielder Michael Harris II (foot) has been scratched from Sunday's lineup against the San Francisco Giants with a right-foot contusion. Kevin Pillar will take his place in center field and bat seventh in the order against Giants right-hander Jakob Junis. Fantasy managers should consider Harris to be day-to-day after he fouled a ball off his foot in the game on Saturday. Check back on Monday to see if the 22-year-old is feeling good enough to start the series opener against the division-rival New York Mets. After winning the National League Rookie of the Year in 2022, Harris has followed it up with another solid season in 2023. He's currently batting .287/.336/.454 with 11 home runs, 19 doubles, three triples, 37 RBI, 17 stolen bases and 53 runs scored in 100 games.

Tue Aug 15 202316:37Michael Harris II In The Two-Hole Tuesday
Atlanta Braves outfielder Michael Harris II is starting in center field and batting second again on Tuesday against right-hander Luis Severino and the visiting New York Yankees. Harris will get a boost in his fantasy value while hitting higher in Atlanta's lineup now that second baseman Ozzie Albies (hamstring) is on the injured list. After winning the National League Rookie of the Year award in 2022, Harris has followed it up by hitting .288 (95-for-330) with 11 home runs, 18 doubles, two triples, 36 RBI, 16 stolen bases and 52 runs scored in 361 plate appearances and 96 games. The 22-year-old missed some time in April due to injury, but he's stayed healthy since and is hitting a strong .373 (19-for-51) with two homers, three doubles, eight RBI, three steals and 14 runs in 14 starts in August. Keep him in your starting fantasy lineups.

Wed Aug 2 202302:11Michael Harris II Clobbers Two Homers In Victory
Atlanta Braves center fielder Michael Harris II went 2-for-3 with two home runs in Tuesday's 5-1 win over the Los Angeles Angels. The 22-year-old smashed a fifth-inning go-ahead blast before crushing another bomb in the seventh frame for his second two-HR display of the year. Harris' painfully-slow start is hurting his ability to pay off his early-round ADP from spring drafts, but he has nonetheless settled in within fantasy circles as a strong collective source of average, speed, and power. The speedy slugger has hit safely in 13 of his last 14 games and is also riding a hot .364 BA (51-for-140) with eight big flies, 19 RBI, and eight stolen bases in 40 outings since June 12. Harris' RBI upside is curbed by hitting ninth every day, but fantasy managers won't complain about the recent returns.

Wed Jul 19 202311:24Michael Harris II Looking To Stay Hot Against Arizona
Atlanta Braves outfielderMichael Harris II, slashing .262/.313/.426 for the season, is on the rise over the last five games, batting .375/.474/.438. Versus righties at home this season, Harris has a slash line of .298/.346/.479 with a.825 OPS and 118 wRC+. The 22-year-old contributed to last night's loss against Arizona with one hit and one RBI, and he looks to continue breaking out of his sophomore slump tonight versus Arizona's right-handerRyne Nelson. Harris is batting ninth in Wednesday's game but remains a solid DFS play at his $4,000 price tag on DraftKings in a plus matchup against Nelson.

Mon Jul 3 202321:52Michael Harris II Raps Two Homers To Continue Resurgence
Atlanta Braves center fielder Michael Harris II went 2-for-4 with two solo home runs in Monday's 4-2 win over the Cleveland Guardians. The 22-year-old carries on a remarkable comeback after a painfully sluggish start perhaps slowed by a back injury earlier this year. Since June 7, Harris is hitting .416 (37-for-89) with seven homers, 16 RBI, and five stolen bases. The loaded Braves lineup perhaps won't call for Harris' bat to move up the order, but he is finally beginning to look the part of the player who was commonly selected as a third-round fantasy pick this past spring. Harris' revamped triple-slash line reads .269/.317/.453 with nine big flies, 24 RBI, and 10 swipes over 230 plate appearances this season.

Fri Jun 23 202301:54Michael Harris II Continues Hot June
Atlanta Braves outfielder Michael Harris II continued his hot run at the plate on Thursday, going 2-for-4 with a stolen base and a run scored in a 5-1 win over the Philadelphia Phillies. Harris II now has a .394 AVG, four homers, and three swipes in 18 June games. That's more like the version of Harris II managers expected when they paid a premium for him on draft day. While his overall slash line is still just .254/.309/.407, that is up significantly from a few weeks ago. His buy-low window is long gone by now, and he should be back in all starting lineups regardless of format.

Tue Jun 13 202300:29Michael Harris II Homers, Collects Three Hits Monday
Atlanta Braves outfielder Michael Harris II had a nice game at the plate in Monday's 6-5 extra-innings loss to the Tigers. The 22-year-old went 3-for-4 with two singles, a solo home run, and a stolen base. The 2022 National League Rookie of the Year has started to pick things up but has struggled mightily this season with a .205/.278/.329 slash line, four HR, 12 RBI, and six stolen bases. Fantasy managers will hope he can continue to improve, although they may not be comfortable starting him at this time.

Thu Jun 8 202301:41Michael Harris II Buries Mets With Go-Ahead Homer
Atlanta Braves outfielder Michael Harris II had the breakout game he was yearning for during Wednesday's 7-5 win over the New York Mets. The 22-year-old went 3-for-4 with a two-run blast, an RBI double, and an additional run scored. Harris also sunk New York with his glove, making an acrobatic grab to rob Mark Canha of an extra-base hit late in this one. To say the 2022 NL Rookie of the Year has experienced a slow start would be an understatement; Harris has about been fantasy's biggest hitting bust thus far. The speedy outfielder direly needed a shot in the arm and his first three-hit attack of the year might provide that jolt. Harris has a mountain to climb to come anywhere close to paying off his pricey spring draft cost. Fantasy managers hope he'll continue to rebuild his still-abysmal .181/.261/.291 slash line with three long balls, 11 RBI, and five stolen bases across 127 at-bats.

Wed May 24 202314:27Michael Harris II Returns To Starting Lineup Wednesday
Atlanta Braves outfielder Michael Harris II is back in the starting lineup Wednesday against Dodgers right-hander Tony Gonsolin. Harris didn't get into Tuesday's contest but will reclaim center field and hit ninth Wednesday night at Truist Park in Atlanta. It's been tough sledding of late for the 22-year-old as Harris has gone hitless in six straight games and hasn't recorded a multi-hit effort since back on May 3 in Miami. After a wildly impressive rookie season in 2022, Harris is hitting just .163 with one homer, four stolen bases, and a .486 OPS across 95 trips to the plate in 2023. He's been a tough pill to swallow for dynasty managers who snatched him up on draft day.

Tue May 23 202318:16Michael Harris II Sitting Out On Tuesday
Atlanta Braves outfielder Michael Harris II is out of the starting lineup for Tuesday's game against the Los Angeles Dodgers. Braves manager Brian Snitker mentioned he wants to give Harris a breather and allow him a chance to relax and slow things down a bit. The 22-year-old is slashing .163/.242/.244 with one home run, five RBI in 25 games this season. The upside is there, so hopefully a few days off will help Harris get back on track. In the meantime, Sam Hilliard will cover center field and bat ninth versus right-hander Bobby Miller on Tuesday.

Sat May 6 202317:01Michael Harris II Returning On Saturday
Atlanta Braves outfielder Michael Harris II (knee) is back in the starting lineup for Saturday's game against the Baltimore Orioles. He's returning after suffering a right knee injury during Wednesday's contest. The 22-year-old has been banged up early in the season, but hopefully he'll be healthy going forward. Harris is batting eighth and covering center field versus right-hander Kyle Bradish on Saturday. Fantasy managers should double check their lineups and get Harris back in there.

Thu May 4 202322:22No Ligament Damage For Michael Harris II
Atlanta Braves outfielder Michael Harris II (knee) didn't suffer any ligament damage in his right knee when he jammed it on Wednesday. He hyperextended his knee, and eventually felt lucky it wasn't worse. "I was thinking I was gonna have to be carried off the field at first, and that it was going to be the end of my season," Harris said. The 22-year-old was available off the bench on Thursday after not being included in the starting lineup, so it was obvious that the injury wasn't too serious. Last year's National League Rookie of the Year recently returned from a lower-back injury, though, so the Braves aren't taking any chances. There's a chance Harris could be back in the lineup for the start of a weekend series against the Baltimore Orioles on Friday. Check back before reinserting him into your starting lineups.

Thu May 4 202316:33Michael Harris II Available To Play Thursday
While Atlanta Braves outfielder Michael Harris II (knee) didn't start on Thursday against the Miami Marlins, he was receiving treatment before the game, and manager Brian Snitker said he'd be available off the bench. Harris is sore after jamming his right knee on Wednesday night, and the Braves were going to think about giving him a day off anyway as they work him back in after recently returning from a lower-back strain. Fantasy managers should expect the 22-year-old to be back in action on Friday against the Baltimore Orioles. Harris hasn't gotten off to a great start in 2023 after winning the National League Rookie of the Year last season. He's gone 7-for-38 (.237) with two doubles, a homer, three RBI and two stolen bases so far in his 12 games.

Thu May 4 202314:30Michael Harris II Absent From Thursday's Starting Lineup
Atlanta Braves outfielder Michael Harris II (knee) is not in Thursday's starting lineup after jamming his knee in Wednesday night's contest with the Miami Marlins. The 22-year-old hit his first home run of the season before departing on Wednesday. Harris began the season in the minor leagues and has appeared in just 12 games with the Braves, hitting just .237 with that one HR alongside two stolen bases and a .678 OPS across 42 trips to the plate. Harris remains listed as day-to-day while veteran Kevin Pillar will take over in center field and bat ninth against Marlins left-hander Jesus Luzardo.
