Sun Feb 410:41Dominic Fletcher Traded To The White Sox
The Arizona Diamondbacks have traded outfielder Dominic Fletcher to the Chicago White Sox in exchange for right-handed pitching prospect Cristian Mena. The White Sox were lacking depth in their outfield the D-Backs didn't have room for Fletcher so this move makes sense. The 26-year-old outfielder flashed some good things last season in Arizona, slashing .301/.350/.441 with a pair of home runs and 14 RBI over 93 at-bats. He fractured his left index finger in September, which prematurely ended his season. He should compete for the starting right field job during spring training. Fletcher is a solid player in real life but this move lacks fantasy impact. Mena put up a 4.85 ERA and 1.414 WHIP between Double-A Birmingham and Triple-A Charlotte over 27 starts last season but is still just 21 years old and has some room to grow.

Fri Jun 30 202312:34Diamondbacks Calling Up Dominic Fletcher
The Arizona Diamondbacks are calling up outfield prospect Dominic Fletcher from Triple-A Reno on Friday, according to sources. The team's No. 14 prospect, per MLB Pipeline, is the brother of Angels infielder David Fletcher, and the two will be facing each other on Friday evening. The 25-year-old left-handed hitter played his first 22 major-league games earlier this year and hit an impressive .308 (24-for-78) with two homers, five doubles, a triple and 13 RBI. At Reno, he was hitting a strong .325 (49-for-151) with three homers, seven doubles, five triples, 20 RBI and 36 runs in 35 games. Fletcher has the potential to hit double-digit homers in a full big-league season, but he's better known for spraying the ball the other way.

Sun Jun 18 202312:16Dominic Fletcher Placed On Temporary Inactive List
On June 13, the Arizona Diamondbacks placed outfield prospect Dominic Fletcher on the minor-league temporary inactive list (similar to MLB's bereavement/paternity list). He was on a solid stretch of hitting for Triple-A Reno, as he was slashing .389/.463/.417 since June 2. Fletcher has already debuted with the Diamondbacks. In his first 12 games this season, he went 18-for-43 before a 4-for-39 stretch in his last 10 games forced a demotion. With a recall or trade to a team in need of a major-league outfield bat still a distinct possibility, fantasy managers in deeper leagues should consider stashing Fletcher.

Thu May 25 202319:54Jake McCarthy Coming Back Up, Dominic Fletcher Sent Down
The Arizona Diamondbacks are planning to recall outfielder Jake McCarthy from Triple-A Reno after a recent hot stretch at the plate on the farm, according to a source. To make room, the team optioned outfield prospect Dominic Fletcher To Reno. McCarthy hit just .143 (9-for-63) with one long ball in 22 games before being sent down in April. In his last eight games with Reno, he's going 17-for-37 (.460) with two doubles and two homers. Fletcher, the team's No. 15 prospect per MLB Pipeline, provided an early boost after initially being called up, but he's gone 6-for-36 (.167) with 10 K's on the team's recent road trip. The 25-year-old McCarthy is the favorite to start in center once again and will be a popular waiver-wire pickup in deep-mixed leagues if he's still available.

Sun Apr 30 202313:45Dominic Fletcher Recalled From Triple-A Reno
Arizona Diamondbacks outfielder Dominic Fletcher has been recalled from Triple-A Reno and will serve as an extra outfielder on the big league roster. The D-Backs want some outfield depth after Corbin Carroll hurt his knee and had to leave Saturday's contest early. Fletcher was slashing .323/.417/.559 with three home runs, 13 RBI, and one stolen base across 93 at-bats in the minors this year. Left-handed reliever Anthony Misiewicz was optioned to Triple-A in a corresponding move.
