Frazier, a right-handed batter, has been on fire down at the Triple-A level and will try to replicate that success in the majors. Through 406 at-bats with Toledo, he's hit .273 with 23 home runs, 32 doubles and 68 RBI.
Thu Jul 29 201015:11Tigers to call up Frazier, DFA Larish
The Tigers will call up outfielder Jeff Frazier from Triple-A Toledo on Friday and designate infielder-designated hitter Jeff Larish for assignment.
Frazier, 27, is batting .273/.316/.527 with 23 homers and 68 RBI in 406 at-bats with Triple-A Toledo this season. Though he has plus-power, his plate discipline is poor. He's obviously no longer a prospect. Larish was 2-for-10 in less than one week with the big club. He has spent his entire professional career in the Tigers organization.
