The Tampa Bay Rays have traded right-handed relief pitcher David McKay to the New York Yankees. He will be included on the Yankees' 40-man roster. The Rays will be receiving cash considerations in return for McKay, who signed a minor league deal with the Rays just a few months back. The 27-year-old last appeared in the majors in 2020 with the Detroit Tigers. He's pitched a total of 26.2 innings in the majors and he has compiled a 6.08 ERA and a 1.46 WHIP.

Sat Feb 26 202220:06Rays Sign David McKay To Minor League Deal
Free-agent right-hander David McKay has agreed to terms on a minor league deal with the Tampa Bay Rays. He will receive an invitation to spring training with a chance to earn a spot in the bullpen. The 26-year-old reportedly is fully healthy after undergoing hip surgery last April. He has a rough 6.08 ERA, 1.46 WHIP and 34/18 K/BB ratio across 26 2/3 innings in the MLB. Possibly, McKay finds a way to make the roster, but it's unlikely he has any fantasy impact in 2022.
