Miller is dealing with an ankle injury and did not practice Wednesday, the Seattle Times' Bob Condotta reports.

Miller caught three passes for 42 yards on four targets in Thursday's season-opening 36-16 victory over the Packers.
This may be the season in which Miller finally gets his due as an excellent player, but such recognition doesn't translate to fantasy value. He's an excellent blocker and solid low-volume receiver, one with enough talent to handle a bigger role in the passing game. However, any expansion of his receiving role would likely be small, as the Seahawks still love to run the ball, and now have a healthy Percy Harvin to eat up targets in the passing game. Miller showed what he's capable of Thursday night, making a one-handed, 24-yard grab that was arguably the play of the game. He also had just three receptions for 42 yards on four targets, production that closely aligns with his 2013 stat line of 33 catches for 387 yards and five touchdowns on 56 targets in 14 games.

Miller caught one pass for 37 yards in Friday's preseason game against the Chargers.
Miller's a good player with good job security, but his team doesn't pass very often, and focuses on the wide receivers when it does. The targets left behind by Golden Tate will likely go to Percy Harvin, though there's always some chance the Seahawks could opt to make greater use of Miller's solid, albeit unspectacular, receiving skills.
Sat Mar 15 201412:52Zach Miller agrees to contract re-structure
TE Zach Miller agreed to re-structure the remaining two years of his contract.
The re-structure reportedly lower Miller's base salary and give him the opportunity to earn that money back through incentives. The deal will also lower Miller's 2014 and 2015 cap hits, increasing his chances to stay in Seattle at least the next two seasons. Miller, a better blocker than receiver, posted a 33-387-5 line in 14 games last season. The Seahwaks will still look to add a receiving tight end either through free agency or the draft.

Seahawks TE Zach Miller may be released or asked to take a pay cut.
The Seahawks are bumping up against the 2014 salary cap already and have several important players such as Golden Tate, RT Breno Giacomini, and CB Walter Thurmond set to become free agents next month. Miller posted a 33-387-5 line in 14 games last season and carries a $7 million cap number for 2014. Second-year TE Luke Willson is reportedly well regarded by Seattle and could be seen as a capable, cheaper replacement for Miller.
