Sun Apr 10 202212:18Lucius Fox Making His MLB Debut
Washington Nationals infielder Lucius Fox is making his major league debut on Sunday against New York Mets right-hander Carlos Carrasco. Fox is starting at the 6 and is batting eighth in Washington's order. He'll serve as a reserve infielder for the Nationals to begin the season after Ehire Adrianza suffered an injury late in spring training. The 24-year-old has 142 career stolen bases in the minor leagues, so he can offer some speed to those in deep NL-only leagues, but the playing time just won't be there and he won't offer much upside for DFS lineups. Fox hit .242/.347/.363 with four home runs, 21 RBI and 19 stolen bases in 63 games for Triple-A Omaha last season.

Tue Nov 30 202116:17Nationals Claim Lucius Fox Off Waivers
The Washington Nationals have claimed infielder Lucius Fox off waivers from the Baltimore Orioles. The Nationals announced the move on Tuesday in a tweet from the team's official Twitter account. Fox has yet to appear at the Major League level but hit .242 with a .347 on-base percentage, four home runs, and 19 stolen bases in 252 plate appearances for Kansas City's Triple-A affiliate last season. A shortstop for most of his career, the 24-year-old also saw time at second base and in center field last season. He'll give the Nationals some extra infield depth. Washington's other infield options on the 40-man roster include Carter Kieboom, Luis Garcia, Josh Bell, Mike Ford, Alcides Escobar, and Yasel Antuna.
