MLB Pipeline has him ranked as the Padres' No. 5 prospect after he hit .242/.306/.272 in 11 games in the Dominican Republic winter league. Rosario also had a .288/.368/.508 slash line with 22 home runs, 81 RBI and 21 steals in 124 games for Triple-A El Paso in 2022. He saw time at shortstop, third and second base in the minors last year and has the best infield arm in San Diego's farm system.

If Rosario were to stay in the Padres system, he is unlikely to make an impact in redraft leagues in 2022. Undersized at 5'9, Rosario makes his mark as a better contact hitter than power hitter, but has shown the ability to drive the ball all across the field and has also shown improved plate discipline as he has risen through the Padres system. Rosario is currently blocked at the big-league level and unlikely to make an impact in 2022. Without offering much power, he's just a name for dynasty managers to keep an eye on at the moment, but doesn't warrant being rostered.
