Tue Apr 1612:01Adolis Garcia Not Playing Tuesday
Texas Rangers outfielder Adolis Garcia is getting the day off on Tuesday against the Detroit Tigers in a day game following a night game. With Garcia out, rookie outfielder Wyatt Langford moves into the cleanup spot, while Ezequiel Duran is the designated hitter and is batting sixth against Tigers right-hander Casey Mize. Evan Carter is sliding over from left field to right field. Garcia has picked up right where he left off last postseason in the first 17 games of 2024, slashing .308/.370/.538 with a .908 OPS, four home runs, 15 RBI and four stolen bases in his first 73 plate appearances. He needs to be in all fantasy lineups on a daily basis when he's active. Langford has held his own so far in his first 60 MLB at-bats, but he's still searching for his first home run.

Sat Apr 609:27Adolis Garcia Hits Fourth Home Run On Friday
Texas Rangers outfielder Adolis Garcia hit his fourth home run of the season on Friday in a 10-2 pounding of the Houston Astros. It was a three-run blast off of Astros starter Hunter Brown, who lasted just three innings. Garcia finished 2-for-4 with four RBI and a run scored. The 31-year-old is now batting .276 on the young season, with 10 RBI, six runs scored, and a stolen base through seven games. The 2x All-Star is shaping up to have another productive season at the plate after belting 39 long balls with 107 RBI in 2023. Garcia boasted a 16.1% Barrel% last season, and it's an incredible 25.0% to begin 2024.

Tue Mar 1900:59Adolis Garcia Hits Solo Homer Monday
Texas Rangers outfielder Adolis Garcia went 2-for-3 with a double, a solo home run, and a strikeout in Monday's 9-5 Cactus League loss to the Mariners. The 31-year-old got a late start to spring after suffering a moderate left oblique strain in the World Series, so seeing him flash his power is good. However, he is batting just .167 in 24 at-bats this spring. Fantasy managers shouldn't be too worried, as Garcia has been a higher-end fantasy option each of the last three seasons. If healthy, he should provide a middling batting average with high power upside and moderate speed upside.

Wed Mar 612:01Adolis Garcia Making Cactus League Debut Wednesday
Texas Rangers outfielder Adolis Garcia (oblique) is making his Cactus League debut on Wednesday versus the Colorado Rockies, serving as the designated hitter and batting third in the lineup. Garcia suffered a moderate left-oblique strain during the World Series last fall, and the Rangers chose not to take any chances with the 31-year-old outfielder early in spring training. Garcia is ready to roll now and will be ready for Opening Day on March 28. After hitting a career-high 39 home runs, driving in 107 and stealing nine bases in 148 regular-season games last year in his second All-Star campaign, he's going to be very popular in fantasy drafts as a low-end No. 1 outfielder/high-end No. 2 while hitting in the heart of a strong Rangers batting order in 2024.

Thu Feb 812:15Adolis Garcia, Rangers Avoid Arbitration
Outfielder Adolis Garcia and the Texas Rangers reached an undisclosed two-year deal on Thursday to avoid a salary arbitration hearing that was scheduled for Thursday. Garcia had filed for $6.9 million for the 2024 season and was offered $5 million by the Rangers. The 30-year-old Cuban is under team control for one more year in 2026. He made his second All-Star team in 2023 by hitting .245/.328/.508 with career-highs in OPS (.836), home runs (39), RBI (107) and runs scored (108) in 148 regular-season games played. Garcia had eight home runs in the playoffs to help lead the team to their first World Series championship as well. He ran less last season, but he made gains in most other categories and should continue to be a valuable contributor in homers, RBI and runs scored in a strong Rangers lineup in 2024. UPDATE: Garcia will receive $14 million over two years guaranteed with performance bonuses.

Wed Nov 1 202300:07Adolis Garcia Removed From World Series Roster
The Texas Rangers announced on Tuesday that outfielder Adolis Garcia (oblique) was removed from the World Series roster after suffering a moderate left-oblique strain in Game 3 on Monday night. It's a huge loss for the Rangers offensively, although it helps that the Rangers now have a 3-1 series lead after winning again in Arizona 11-7 on Halloween night. The Cuban slugger was having an excellent first postseason, batting a cool .323 (20-for-62) with eight home runs, a double, 22 RBI, two stolen bases and 11 runs scored in 15 games. Garcia homered in five straight games at one point, was named the ALCS MVP and drove in a record 15 runs in the ALCS. Infielder Ezequiel Duran replaced Garcia on the roster, but Travis Jankowski got the start in right field in Game 4 and went 2-for-4 with a double, two RBI and two runs scored out of the nine-hole.

Tue Oct 31 202318:20Adolis Garcia Available Off Bench For Game 4
Texas Rangers outfielder Adolis Garcia (oblique) isn't starting in Game 4 of the World Series on Tuesday against the Arizona Diamondbacks, but he'll be available off the bench after working out. Travis Jankowski will make the start in right field and will bat ninth against Diamondbacks left-handed opener Joe Mantiply. According to RangersToday.com's Jeff Wilson, Garcia suffered a moderate left-oblique strain in his final at-bat in Game 3 on Monday night. There's a chance the 30-year-old slugger could miss the remainder of the World Series, which would be a huge blow to the Rangers' offense the rest of the way, as Garcia has eight home runs and 22 RBI this postseason and was named the ALCS MVP. Jankowski hit .263 (65-for-247) during the year with only one home run but with 19 steals. He has a hit in two at-bats in five playoff games and has not faced Mantiply in his career.

Tue Oct 31 202300:12Adolis Garcia To Have MRI Exam
Texas Rangers outfielder Adolis Garcia (side) will undergo an MRI exam after leaving the 3-1 win over the Arizona Diamondbacks in Game 3 of the World Series on Monday night. Garcia went 0-for-3 with a walk and a strikeout before dealing with left-side tightness on a flyout in the eighth inning. We should have a better idea of whether the 30-year-old right-handed slugger will be able to play again in the World Series after the results of his MRI exam are known. The Rangers would lose their hottest hitter in the postseason if Garcia is forced to miss any time. He was the ALCS MVP and has eight total home runs and 22 RBI in this year's playoffs. If Garcia is unable to play in Game 4 on Tuesday, either Robbie Grossman or Travis Jankowski will enter the starting lineup.

Mon Oct 30 202322:34Adolis Garcia Injured In Game 3 Of World Series
Texas Rangers outfielder Adolis Garcia (side) was removed from Game 3 of the World Series on Monday against the Arizona Diamondbacks after grabbing at his left side in his at-bat to end the eighth inning. The Rangers officially announced it as left-side tightness. Travis Jankowski replaced Garcia in right field. The Rangers led the D-backs 3-0 at the time Garcia left. It's unknown at this time how serious the 30-year-old's injury is, but it would be a crushing blow to Texas if they were to lose him for any amount of games for the remainder of the World Series. He went 0-for-3 with a walk and a strikeout before leaving the game, but he entered Monday's contest as the hottest hitter on the planet. Garcia was the ALCS MVP and has eight long balls in the playoffs, including six homers in five straight games from Oct. 19-27.

Sat Oct 28 202319:22Adolis Garcia, Red Hot, Stays In The Four Hole
Texas Rangers outfielder Adolis Garcia will again bat out of the cleanup position Saturday night. Garcia has six home runs in five games, including a walk-off Friday. His .357/.400/.804 slash line during the postseason is elite, and he figures to be in the running for World Series MVP honors, especially if he can keep his power-hitting prowess going. There are no changes in the Rangers lineup from Game 1.

Garcia finished the game 1-for-5 with a grand slam, four RBI, a run scored and four strikeouts. The 30-year-old hit the grand slam in the ninth inning to give Texas more breathing room after he was ejected late in Game 5 for a benches-clearing incident after he was hit by a pitch. Mon Sep 18 202320:01Adolis Garcia Activated And Starting Monday
The Texas Rangers activated outfielder Adolis Garcia (knee) from the 10-day injured list on Monday and optioned catcher Sam Huff and infielder Jonathan Ornelas to Triple-A Round Rock in corresponding moves. The Rangers are getting both Garcia and rookie third baseman Josh Jung (thumb) back on Monday for the stretch run. Garcia is playing in right field and will hit sixth against Boston Red Sox right-hander Kutter Crawford on Monday. Garcia, 30, was an All-Star for the first time in his career this year, and he'll return to a .244/.322/.494 slash line with an .817 OPS, a career-high 34 home runs, 26 doubles, 100 RBI, eight stolen bases and 97 runs scored in 135 games (580 plate appearances). Fantasy managers will want to get Garcia back into their starting lineups.

Fri Sep 15 202312:14Adolis Garcia Could Rejoin The Team Next Weekend
Texas Rangers manager Bruce Bochy said that outfielder Adolis Garcia (knee) is a possibility to come off the injured list and rejoin the team next weekend in a series against the division-rival Seattle Mariners. Garcia has begun a running program and could be back in the starting lineup as early as next Friday to face the M's. The 30-year-old All-Star has been on the injured list since last Thursday due to a right patellar-tendon strain that he suffered while trying to make a catch in the outfield. Garcia has been a must-start in all fantasy lineups in 2023 by hitting .244/.322/.494 with an .817 OPS, 34 home runs, 26 doubles, 100 RBI, eight stolen bases and 97 runs scored in 580 trips to the plate over 135 games in his fourth year in Texas.

Thu Sep 7 202318:15Rangers Put Adolis Garcia On 10-Day Injured List
The Texas Rangers placed right fielder Adolis Garcia (knee) on the 10-day injured list on Thursday due to a right knee patellar tendon strain. The 30-year-old crashed into the right-field fence in Wednesday's game trying to make a catch, and falls to the IL at a critical juncture of Texas' season while they try to hang on in the AL Wild Card race. The Rangers hope for Garcia to return in September, but it may ultimately end up being too late for fantasy managers hoping to have the slugger's bat for the fantasy playoffs. Garcia doesn't have a timetable for a return. The two-time All-Star takes a .244/.322/.494 slash line with 34 home runs, an AL-high 100 RBI, and eight stolen bases to the sidelines. Texas is elevating top prospect Evan Carter in search of a spark to quell their recent swoon.

Wed Sep 6 202321:05Adolis Garcia Leaves Early With Injury
Texas Rangers outfielder Adolis Garcia left the game against the Houston Astros early Wednesday night with right knee discomfort. Garcia lept to rob a Michael Brantley home run and stayed down for a few moments. It'd be a tough blow for the Rangers and fantasy managers alike if he has to miss time, as Garcia has been a top outfield option this season. Garcia will likely go for imaging and other tests and an update should be released after those results are obtained.

Sun Sep 3 202318:02Adolis Garcia Walks It Off On Sunday
Texas Rangers outfielder Adolis Garcia went 1-for-5 with a solo, walk-off home run and four strikeouts in a 6-5 win over the Minnesota Twins on Sunday. The Rangers, who recently lost their hold on first place in the American League West, were looking to avoid getting swept by the Twins before Garcia stepped up to the dish in the bottom of the ninth in a 5-5 ball game. The 30-year-old was rocking a golden sombrero (0-for-4 with four strikeouts) before he took Josh Winder deep with his 34th home run of the season to end the ball game. Garcia has been slumping over the last month, and the last 15 games in particular. Across his last 61 at-bats, he's batting just .164 with a .592 OPS but he does have four home runs over that span. He's putting together a banner season, even with the recent slide, however. After Sunday's contest, he's slashing .247/.326/.499 with a career-high 34 home runs, 100 RBI, and eight stolen bases over 503 at-bats. He's just one RBI shy of tying his career mark but the eight stolen bases look a bit light, considering he swiped 25 bags last season.

He's done so while upping his walk rate to 10.2% while dropping his strikeout rate to 26.4%, both of which are career-bests at the big-league level. He continues to provide fantasy managers with excellent production across the board in all formats.

Texas Rangers outfielder Adolis Garcia went 3-for-3 with two solo home runs, a double, and a walk in Friday's 6-2 win over the Miami Marlins. The 30-year-old's third-inning shot would give Texas a lead they wouldn't surrender, and his sixth-inning jack was a majestic blast into center field to lead off the frame and add another run.
