Fri Mar 2222:02Austin Riley Having A Modest Spring
Atlanta Braves third basemanAustin Riley is having an underwhelming spring by his standards. The 26-year-old is slashing .257/.297/.429 with just two homers and four RBI in 35 AB. Though his spring has been subpar, Riley is still expected to be very important to fantasy managers' lineups, as he currently has a 22.3 ADP. The projections at ATC expect Riley to perform very similarly to his 2023 season with a .279/.349/.532 slash line with 38 HR and 103 RBI. Braves fans and fantasy managers shouldn't expect Riley's spring training results to continue in the regular season, but a couple more Austin Riley-like games to finish spring training would be a welcome sight. He is a surefire top-20 pick and one of the most dependable third-base options heading into 2024 fantasy drafts.

Mon Feb 2613:23Austin Riley Homers In Spring Training Debut
After flying out to right in his first at-bat in Sunday's 5-4 Grapefruit League loss to the Boston Red Sox, Atlanta Braves third baseman Austin Riley hit a Joe Jacques pitch off the pavilion in right field for his first hit and home run of the spring. It was a solo shot for the 2x All-Star, ending the day 1-2 with one RBI and one run scored. Riley hit 37 long balls last season and with the slugger projected for 38 again in 2024, he's in prime position to rack up RBIs hitting out of the third spot in the potent Braves batting order. The former first-round pick won't help you in the stolen base department but will provide stellar production in every other meaningful category. He's also durable, playing nearly 160 games in three consecutive seasons, which helps affirm his status as the second third baseman off of draft boards and his ranking of 19th overall at RotoBaller, just ahead of his NFBC ADP of 20th overall.

Fri Sep 8 202318:40Austin Riley Remains Out On Friday
Atlanta Braves third baseman Austin Riley (illness) remains out of the starting lineup for Friday's game against the Pittsburgh Pirates. This marks the second game in a row that Riley has missed due to a stomach bug. It's worth noting that Braves' manager Brian Snitker said Riley would be available off the bench on Friday. That being said, it sounds like a day-to-day issue, so Riley should be back at some point this weekend.
