Brown was recalled from Triple-A Albuquerque ahead of Wednesday's game against the Diamondbacks.
Brown ended up tossing 1.1 scoreless innings to claim the win Wednesday in the Rockies' 9-4 victory. It marked his first appearance with the team since June 16, following a lengthy DL stint due to right shoulder inflammation.

Brown (shoulder) was activated from the disabled list and optioned to Triple-A Albuquerque on Sunday.
Brown has returned from the disabled list, but there's not enough room in the bullpen at the moment. However, it's possible he'll return to the majors in short order with the rosters expanding come Sept. 1. Even if he does join the club, it's unlikely he'll have anything more than a middle relief role with the club.

Manager Walt Weiss said Wednesday that there's no timetable for Brown's (shoulder) return from the disabled list, the Associated Press reports.
Brown is currently on rehab assignment at Triple-A Albuquerque, where he's made three appearances over the last week. Per MLB rules, Brown is able to spend up to 30 days on a rehab assignment before the Rockies would be required to either activate him or take him off the assignment.

Brown (shoulder) made a rehab appearance at Triple-A Albuquerque on Thursday, covering a scoreless inning and striking out one batter.
Brown was placed on the DL in the middle of June with right shoulder inflammation, but after resting for the last month, he appears to be nearly recovered from the ailment. He'll likely make one or two additional appearances for Albuquerque before rejoining the Rockies during the coming week.

Brown (shoulder) will not return from the disabled list when eligible Thursday, the Associated Press reports.
Since Brown has been on the DL twice already this season with shoulder inflammation, manager Walt Weiss noted that the Rockies are exercising caution. The reliever could be ready to go shortly after the All-Star break.

Brown was placed on the 15-day DL Thursday with right shoulder inflammation, MLB.com's Thomas Harding reports.
The Rockies called up Christian Bergman to take Brown's spot in the bullpen in the short term. Brown was on the DL earlier this season with shoulder inflammation, so the fact that it has popped back up is a bad sign. Consider him out indefinitely.

Brown failed to record an out in his seventh-inning appearance Wednesday against the Dodgers. He wasn't charged with any runs, but gave up a single and issued two walks while finding the strike zone on just four of his 14 pitches.
Christian Friedrich started the inning and was pulled after allowing three consecutive singles, and Brown did little to clot the bleeding. Entering the game with two runners on, Brown walked the bases loaded and then gave up a two-run single to Andre Ethier. After Brown then walked Yasmani Grandal, manager Walt Weiss decided he'd seen enough and gave the reliever the hook. Brown has failed to protect a Rockies lead in two consecutive appearances, but he still probably represents one of the more trusted options in a beleaguered Colorado bullpen. Over the last four games, Rockies relievers have surrendered 14 earned runs in 12 innings of duty.

Brown (shoulder) was activated from the 15-day DL on Saturday, the Denver Post's Patrick Saunders reports.
The move coincides with fellow reliever Ken Roberts hitting the DL with elbow inflammation. Brown should pitching medium-leverage situations for the Rockies moving forward.

Brown (shoulder) expects to be activated from the 15-day DL ahead of Wednesday's game against the Phillies, the Denver Post reports.
After making his second rehab appearance at Triple-A Albuquerque on Monday night, Brown returned to the Rockies' clubhouse Tuesday to prepare for his activation in the minimum 15 days. Brown had a 4.50 ERA, 1.28 WHIP and eight strikeouts over 14 innings before landing on the DL due to shoulder inflammation.

Brown (shoulder) has appeared in two games with Triple-A Albuquerque since beginning a rehab assignment last Saturday.
Brooks threw a perfect inning in his first rehab outing but was tagged for three earned runs in his last appearance Monday. It's not clear how many more rehab outings he will need before returning to the Rockies, but he is eligible to be activated from the disabled list at any point.

Brown was placed on the disabled list Thursday with right shoulder inflammation, Thomas Harding of MLB.com reports.
Brown hasn't pitched in a game since May 4, allowing his stint to be retroactive to that date. However, shoulder inflammation is never a good injury for a pitcher, so it wouldn't be surprising if his DL stint lasts beyond the minimum amount of time.

Brown covered two innings Monday against the Diamondbacks, surrendering one run but coming away with his sixth hold of the season.
The right-hander battled control issues over his two frames, finding the strike zone on only 19 of his 36 pitches while walking one and tossing a wild pitch. Brown has now given up at least one run in four of his last six appearances, but is still maintaining a respectable 3.86 ERA. His six holds rank third in all of baseball to give him some value in deep specialty formats, but his relative lack of swing-and-miss (seven Ks over 11.2 innings) makes him far from a dominant relief arm.

Brown threw two shutout innings in relief in Friday's win over the Cubs. He scattered a hit and a walk and struck out two batters to earn the hold.
Brown and the Rockies' bullpen were able to cover admirably for a short outing from starter Tyler Matzek, as the Cubs mustered just one hit over the final five frames. The right-hander was one of the last relievers to claim a roster spot for the Rockies out of camp, but his strong work in 26 innings with the big club last season (2.77 ERA, 21:5 K:BB ratio) should occasionally allow him to see some high-leverage setup duty.
Wed Sep 17 201410:17Brown tossed scoreless inning in Tuesday's victory over Dodgers
Brown tossed a scoreless inning in Tuesday's victory over the Dodgers.
After pitching mostly ineffectively in his first month in the big leagues, Brown has arguably been the Rockies' best reliever over August and September. He's tossed 12.2 innings during that time, yielding only two runs (one earned) on nine hits and two walks. If the 29-year-old finishes strong over the final week and a half, he could be in line for a permanent bullpen gig with the team in 2015.

Brown was recalled from Triple-A Colorado Springs on Saturday, Thomas Harding of MLB.com reports.
With Tommy Kahnle (shoulder) landing on the DL, Brown will return for his third stint with the big club this season. Brooks has posted a 4.18 ERA and 1.41 WHIP across 37 appearances with Colorado Springs and will likely just serve as a low-leverage innings eater.
Thu Aug 7 201413:31Brown optioned to Triple-A Colorado Springs on Thursday
Brown was optioned to Triple-A Colorado Springs on Thursday, Nick Groke of the Denver Post reports.
Brown did not end up appearing in Wednesday's game after getting the call earlier in the day, and he'll head back down Thursday to make room for Juan Nicasio. It seems the Rockies just want someone who's a bit more stretched out in case Thursday's game goes into extras.

The Rockies will bring Brown up to fortify the bullpen after Tuesday's game went 12 innings, with the bullpen combining to pitch nine of those frames. Brown has posted a 4.43 ERA and 1.50 WHIP in 34 appearances with Colorado Springs this season and will likely work exclusively in middle relief.
