Jeremy Bonderman (thumb) threw breaking balls during a bullpen session Monday with no pain.
Bonderman hasn't been available recently due to tendinitis and inflammation in his right thumb, but it appears that he's ready to go now. "Today I didn't feel it at all," Bonderman said Monday. "I'm happy with that."

Sat Sep 14 201316:41Bonderman likely unavailable on Saturday
Jeremy Bonderman is likely unavailable in the Tigers bullpen for Saturday's game against the Royals due to discomfort in his thumb.
Bonderman's transition to the bullpen with the Tigers hasn't gone as well as they would've liked, as he's posted a 5.28 ERA, 1.57 WHIP and 14/10 K/BB ratio over 15 1/3 innings. If he can't prove his health and improve the results in the final two weeks of the season, he's unlikely to be included on the postseason roster.

Tigers recalled RHP Jeremy Bonderman from Triple-A Toledo.
Bonderman was released by the Mariners last month and hasn't allowed a run over seven appearancs with the Tigers' Triple-A affiliate. The 30-year-old will provide bullpen depth as a long reliever.

Fri Jul 26 201323:44Bonderman attempting to comeback in bullpen
Jeremy Bonderman is attempting to transition to being a relief pitcher.
If the early results are any indication, he may just be onto something. Through his first five appearances with Triple-A Toledo, Bonderman is unscored upon, allowing just one hit in his five innings of work while striking out three. He should see time in the Tigers' bullpen at some point this season.

Sun Jul 14 201315:37Bonderman back with Tigers on minors deal
Tigers signed RHP Jeremy Bonderman to a minor league contract; assigned him to Triple-A Toledo.
Bonderman, of course, spent the first eight years of his career with the Tigers. The veteran right-hander was cut loose by the Mariners last week after posting a 4.93 ERA in seven starts. He's obviously a shell of his former self but isn't a bad guy to have around for depth purposes.

Thu Jul 11 201316:02Jeremy Bonderman elects free agency
Jeremy Bonderman has elected to become a free agent.
Bonderman cleared waivers after being designated for assignment earlier this week, but he chose free agency over accepting a minor league assignment. The 30-year-old right-hander posted a 4.93 ERA in seven starts with the Mariners and should latch on elsewhere fairly quickly, though chances are he'll have to serve as minor league depth.

Mon Jul 8 201315:58Mariners designate Bonderman for assignment
Mariners designated RHP Jeremy Bonderman for assignment.
Bonderman was shelled for six earned runs over five innings Saturday in a loss to the Reds, falling to 1-3 on the season with a 4.93 ERA and 1.49 WHIP. The 30-year-old right-hander seems doubtful to draw much interest on waivers. Seattle will have to call up a new starter for Thursday and it certainly could be Erasmo Ramirez.

Sat Jul 6 201319:52Bonderman allows six runs in loss to Reds
Jeremy Bonderman was hammered for six earned runs in five innings Saturday in a loss to the Reds.
The right-hander has now been blown up in back-to-back starts. He has a 4.93 ERA and 1.49 WHIP in 38 1/3 total innings this season and probably won't be able to turn things around next week when he faces the Red Sox.

Sun Jun 30 201321:10Bonderman struggles in loss vs. Cubs
Jeremy Bonderman lasted just 3 1/3 innings in Sunday's loss to the Cubs.
He allowed four runs on six hits and had two walks before being pulled at 62 pitches. Bonderman has been surprisingly effective over his last three outings, but has just a 4.05 ERA and 1.35 WHIP. He'll remain a shaky fantasy option in his next start Saturday against the Reds.

Bonderman threw five scoreless innings before giving up two runs in the sixth. He finished with three walks, two strikeouts, and was removed at 97 pitches. Bonderman now has a 3.30 ERA and a 1.23 WHIP over five starts (30 innings) this season.

Wed Jun 19 201302:01Jeremy Bonderman goes six versus Angels
Despite striking out no one, Jeremy Bonderman gave up just one run over six innings Tuesday against the Angels.
Bonderman allowed six hits, walked three and hit a batter, but he had Josh Hamilton hitting double-play balls to bail him out whenever things got tough. Just 52 of Bonderman's 92 pitches were strikes tonight, and that's not going to fly against most lineups.

Thu Jun 13 201301:23Jeremy Bonderman goes eight scoreless
Jeremy Bonderman shut out the Astros for eight innings in a no-decision on Wednesday.
The Mariners finally gave Bonderman a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the eighth, only to quickly blow it in the ninth. After getting lit up in his Seattle debut, Bonderman has allowed one run in 14 innings in his last two starts. We did recommend using him in AL-only leagues tonight, but that was just because of the matchup. He's not a great bet to have any long-term value.

Sat Jun 8 201301:32Jeremy Bonderman earns win over Yankees
Jeremy Bonderman held the Yankees to one run and three hits over six innings Friday to earn his first big-league victory since Sept. 8, 2010.
Bonderman was roughed up Sunday in his return to the majors, but he did a nice job in this one, getting 10 outs on the ground along with his two strikeouts. Since his next outing will be a Safeco start against the Astros, AL-only leaguers could consider trying him for a week. He doesn't figure to have any long-term value, but that's a nice matchup.

Sun Jun 2 201317:17Jeremy Bonderman blasted in MLB return
Jeremy Bonderman's first major league start since 2010 wasn't a good one, as he was lit up for seven runs on nine hits and a walk over just 4 2/3 frames in a loss to the Twins.
Bonderman registered just one punchout, which is two fewer than the number of home runs he gave up. The veteran right-hander wasn't pitching well at Triple-A before being promoted, so it's hardly a surprise that he was knocked around. It remains to be seen if the M's will give him another shot.

Sun Jun 2 201311:31Jeremy Bonderman called up to start Sunday
Mariners purchased the contract of RHP Jeremy Bonderman from Triple-A Tacoma.
Bonderman will start on Sunday against the Twins in what will be his first start in the majors since October 1, 2010. The right-hander has an underwhelming 4.52 ERA and 33/18 K/BB ratio in 63 2/3 innings at Triple-A this season and can't be trusted in fantasy leagues.

Sun Mar 31 201313:57Jeremy Bonderman will report to Triple-A
Jeremy Bonderman has decided to accept his assignment to Triple-A Tacoma.
Bonderman posted an 8.80 ERA and 7/3 K/BB ratio over 15 1/3 innings this spring, but he'll continue his comeback attempt in the minors rather than request his release. He's a poor bet to have any sort of impact this season.

Thu Mar 28 201321:47M's unsure if Bondy will accept assignment
Mariners general manager Jack Zduriencik has yet to hear whether Jeremy Bonderman will accept an assignment to Triple-A Tacoma.
Bonderman posted an 8.80 ERA and 7/3 K/BB ratio over 15 1/3 innings this spring, but the M's are hoping he'll choose to continue his comeback attempt with them. Brandon Maurer and Blake Beavan won the final two spots in Seattle's rotation.
