Melton (knee) signed a one-year deal with Tampa Bay on Thursday, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports.

Sat Feb 14 201512:02The Cowboys have declined to pick up Melton's option
The Cowboys have declined to pick up Melton's option, Brandon George of the Dallas Morning News reports.
This isn't a big surprise, given the size of the option (three years, $25 million) and Melton's limited production in 2014. The Cowboys may still be interested in bringing him back, but at a reduced price tag.

Melton (knee) has a serious bone bruise and will not play in the postseason, Clarence Hill of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports.
An MRI on Monday revealed the injury, which Melton suffered in Week 17 against Washington. While bone bruises typically aren't overly serious, Melton's is nearly a fracture, so the team has made the call to rule him out for the playoffs, which begin this weekend against the Lions.

Melton's status for the playoffs is in jeopardy after he sustained a leg injury in Sunday's win over Washington, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports.
Melton is slated to undergo an MRI on Monday, but the report indicates that his injury is believed to be serious. The defensive tackle finished up his first season with the Cowboys with 15 tackles and five sacks in 16 games.

Melton picked up two tackles and 1.5 sacks in Sunday's loss to the Cardinals.
He's not getting many tackles, but Melton has racked up 3.5 sacks in the last two games and finally looks to be all the way back from his torn ACL. He's a marginal IDP play, but his ability to get to the quarterback will help the Cowboys' team defense.

Melton (hamstring) is active for Sunday's game against Houston.
Melton was unable to log a full practice all week, so there is a chance he may be limited, but the Cowboys will welcome his presence against Arian Foster and the Texans.

Melton (hamstring) is questionable for Sunday's game against Houston.
Melton seems legitimately hobbled by his hamstring issue, but he seems to have a decent shot at suiting up for Sunday's game given that he was a limited practice participant all week.

Melton recorded his first sack as a Cowboy during Sunday's win over the Saints.
The Cowboys are anxious to get more pressure out of their front seven, so hopefully this is a sign that Melton is finally feeling close to 100 percent and will again become the disruptive force he was with the Bears.

Melton (hamstring) is not included on the Cowboys' inactive list in advance of Sunday night's game versus the Saints.
Melton tweaked his hamstring last Sunday; however, that incident won't keep him out of this weekend's game against New Orleans. The former Bear is expected to start at defensive tackle Sunday, but holds just two tackles (one solo) thus far.

Melton (hamstring) is questionable for Sunday's game against New Orleans.
Melton's only practice appearance this week was a limited showing Friday, so he seems quite questionable for Sunday's game. If Melton sits, it would make an already favorable matchup look even better for the New Orleans running game.

The injury Melton sustained on Sunday is apparently to his hamstring and not his groin, the Dallas Morning News reports.
Either way he was able to play through the issue for most of Sunday's game, and while the Cowboys will probably take it easy on him this week at practice Melton might yet be able to suit up for Week 4.
Mon Sep 22 201410:11Melton re-injured groin during Sunday's win over Rams
Melton re-injured his groin during Sunday's win over the Rams, the Dallas Morning News reports.
According to Cowboys owner/GM Jerry Jones, Melton played through the issue for most of the game, but finished with just one tackle. The team's big free agent addition has yet to make much of an impact in Dallas.
Tue Sep 2 201409:56Melton (groin) says he's ready to go for Week 1
Melton (groin), who didn't suit up at all in the preseason, says he's ready to go for Week 1, the Dallas Morning News reports.
It's been almost 12 months since Melton's seen any game action after he tore his ACL last season, so it might take him some time to get back up to speed and be ready for every-down duty.

Melton (groin) worked with the Cowboys' starters during Monday's practice session, ESPN Dallas reports.
Melton is yet to feature in preseason action, as his recovery from last season's torn ACL was complicated by a groin issue during training camp. Despite the time off, Melton has immediately slotted into Dallas' starting defensive line unit and should play a key figure in coordinator Rod Marinelli's scheme this season. After combining for 13 sacks during the 2011 and 2012 campaigns, the former Bear could make his Cowboys debut in Thursday's preseason finale.
Tue Aug 12 201409:13Melton (groin) could miss up to week of camp
Melton (groin) could miss up to a week of camp, and has been ruled out for Saturday's preseason game, the Dallas Morning News reports.
It'll be the second preseason game he's missed. Although the injury isn't directly related to his knee surgery, it's now a little more uncertain whether Melton will be ready for Week 1.
Sun Aug 10 201421:41Melton left Sunday's practice with groin injury
Melton left Sunday's practice with a groin injury, Brandon George of the Dallas Morning News reports.
The good news is Melton's departure was not related to the knee injury he is dealing with, but the bad news is he is now dealing with two different setbacks. Melton will be sent for further evaluation, and it remains to be seen when he will be able to get back on the field.
Sun Aug 10 201420:58Melton left Sunday's practice for unspecified reason

Melton (knee) did not suit up for Thursday's preseason opener against the Chargers.
That's not a surprise, as the Cowboys have been easing Melton back into action with an eye on having him ready for Week 1.
Mon Jul 28 201408:16Henry Melton avoids the PUP list
Cowboys DT Henry Melton (ACL) avoided the active/PUP list.
Melton is more than 10 months removed from his tear. His ability to participate at the outset of camp -- even in a limited capacity -- is a fantastic sign that he'll be able to contribute to a desperate Cowboys defensive front in Week 1. Melton has some deep IDP sleeper appeal as he transitions into the old Jason Hatcher 3-technique role, a spot that produced 11 sacks last year.

Tue Jul 22 201422:55Report: Henry Melton will be cleared for camp
Cowboys DT Henry Melton (ACL surgery) is expected to be cleared for the beginning of camp.
According to reporter David Moore, the Cowboys aren't expecting any "red flags" with Melton's Wednesday physical. That was expected all along, but is still much-needed news for the Cowboys' undermanned defensive line. Melton is now 10 months removed from tearing his left ACL.
