Sat May 21 201110:57Brad Thomas to DL with elbow inflammation
Tigers placed LHP Brad Thomas on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to May 11, with left elbow inflammation.
The injury will knock him out, but Thomas could have just as well lost his roster spot due to performance, as he's posted a 9.00 ERA and 2.09 WHIP over 11 innings this season. It's not clear how long he might be out, but the fact the move was made retroactively suggests it won't be long.
